The Saba Sultan is situated with a two minute walk of the Palace in the heart of the old town. Before we booked the hotel we checked on-line reviews and saw nothing but great feedback so decided to stay there - we were not disappointed! The rooms are very well appointed and very comfortable, the bed especially. I had a view looking out over the water at the back of the hotel and by leaving the curtains open was woken up by the rising sun glowing on the horizon. A run around the headland along the coast and back through the town is highly recommended before breakfast. Breakfast itself is a help yourself affair with lots of choice and really authentic. I'm now addicted to yoghurt and honey! The staff were so helpful and very friendly, always smiling and keen to chat. The hotel is also a short walk to a street full of restaurants and bars as well as a local shopping street that we preferred to the mayhem of the Grand Bazaar. A good walk will take you over the bridge frequented by fishermen to a more modern day Turkey with nice backstreets and bars to be discovered. In summary, a great hotel which I would highly recommend.
