Pros: Room had a slightly exotic feel. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner was a fantastic array of healthy delicious delights. The staff were incredible. AJ was our host. He was a treasure...funny, welcoming, and helpful beyond all call. Examples: First thing, AJ sat us down and gave us an overview of Istanbul from places to eat to taxis worth trusting. Then, AJ explained to mention the hotel and his name anywhere in town for respect and help. It worked! Apparently everyone in Istanbul knows AJ! More? My wife asked to purchase the (excellent) hair conditioner. AJ wouldn't hear of that. Instead, he had someone track down their supplier and the product manufacturer. When he couldn't procure the product for my wife due to licensing issues, he GAVE her an entire large bag of the product in a gift bag at the end of our stay. How many hours had he spent on the procurement project? All day. Too many. Needless to say, AJ sticks in our mind as the face of warmest Istanbul...a beautiful place altogether.
Cons: none worth mentioning. Any problems at all? The staff want to know so they can make it right for you!
