“Bosphous Strait - a must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

A two-hour sightseeing boat trip should be good. If you have time, take another trip during the evening, it will be total different experience.

“A Fun Diversion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

If you are deciding between this ferry ride and the Blue Mosque, choose the Blue Mosque. If you are choosing between the ferry ride and the Grand Bizarre or Spice Market, choose the markets. If you are expecting some earth-shattering amazement that one shore is Europe and the other is Asia, you may want to set your expectations a little lower.

While the views are great and the river is geographically significant, the cruise on the Bosphorus is a nice sight-seeing tour, but anything beyond that is just hype. We had a great time on the boat, and would do it again, but don't expect to be amazed by this trip. Instead, get a nice seat (unless the boat is visiting the Asian side first, make sure you sit on the left side of the boat, otherwise you will only be looking at water or straining to look over someone else's shoulder the entire trip), buy some Turkish Tea and enjoy the ride.

If you have young children with you, they may get bored...although probably not as much as with some of the other attractions you would have already drug them to.

Disclaimer: we took the TurYol ferry, a 90-minute round trip tour. The destination ferries may be a different experience.

“Great to see the Black Sea and Asian side of Istanbul”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Really enjoyed the ability to sit back and take in the views along the Bosphorus. Very affordable at $25 Tl per person for round-trip. The last stop A. Kavage, provides a hilltop with castle remains that affords some great views of the Black Sea. The port also offers some great seafood!

“Breathtaking view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Our hotel suggest us a bosphorus cruise all day trip and it was very nice. Our tour included a morning cruise passing by the Golden Horn at the Marmara Sea and to the Bosphorus strait. After the cruise we were taken by mini bus to many atractions and crossing to the Asia side of Istanbul.

“Well worth it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

A lovely afternoon trip on a sunny day in April on a beautiful boat with a knowledgeable guide. Really gives a great oversight of Istanbul, the areas and the people and buildings from the water. As a side show the dolphins were following the boat. The only down side was the length of time spent picking up folks from different hotels and waiting but the actual boat trip at 35 TL was enjoyable and good value.
