“Watch out for the Bosphorus dolphins”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

We took a ferry up to Anadolu Kavagli, closest point to Black Sea coast we really wanted to visit.
High point was moment when some dolphins came within about 25-30 metres of our ferry!

“One of the Highlights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Great way to spend half a day to catch a glimpse of Istanbul aboard a ferry. Brief stops at ports and a 3 hour stop at Anadolu KavagI. Small fishing village, great seafood and a hike to a Roman fort. Eat after your hike and get an English speaking headset with your ticket.

“Don't miss it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Our boat trips on the Bosphorus were great. We took an ordinary ferry up the river first towards the Black Sea and our guide explained the important sites to us. On another day we went to Princes Island. There were few Westerners on the ferry and we found ourselves in conversation and interaction with Iranian and Iraqui families. It was great, and very cooling with the breeze on deck.

“You have to get out on the water!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

As with any great city on a body of water, Istanbul is best appreciated from the Bosphorus. A boat ride is as as simple as boarding a city ferry for 2 TRY and riding the boat to the Asian side (all the better to sample the fine restaurants there - Ciya Sofrasi comes to mind). I have wonderful memories of sitting in the stern of the ferry and watching the seagulls swoop down to our wake. Best way to see Istanbul's ultra modern skyline in the north of the city.
