“Couldn't have chosen better”

All the positive reviews about the Seraglio were not exaggerated. Nothing to fault. Our room was impeccably clean and housekeeping service was excellent. The food at the bistro was phenomenal. A restaurant close by was highly recommended to us, but we found that the Bistro at the Seraglio had tastier and less expensive food. The location is optimal and is truly within walking distance of all important sites. All that aside, what really makes the hotel memorable is the staff: some of the most pleasant, welcoming, helpful and gracious people I have met in the industry. Everybody greets u with a smile and a greeting. Kenan in the reception in particular, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Upon arrival, he sat with us with a map, highlighting important sites. All his recommendations, between restaurants to tours, were on point. Overall, an excellent experience that I would strongly recommend to anyone.

We were so impressed by the staff here, that we wanted to write a review just to let you all know how wonderful they were. We are on our honeymoon, and stayed 3 nights. We were fairly unprepared for our trip, but thanks to the hotel staff, their recommendations, and their help with our onward travel and connections, everything has gone seamlessly! They truly are altruistcally interested in your trip being as good as possible. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the quality, cleanliness, and decor of the rooms exceeded expectations. And can we tell you about the bed?? Probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in...

My parents and I were at this lovely Boutique Hotel on last June. As we also were in Istanbul on last year, we knew that Sultanahmet is the best location for the tourists, due to its proximity from the major tourists points that this beautiful city offers. I personally had no doubt and booked the Blue Mosque, which was definitely perfect for us. The room was big enough and the terrace, facing the Mosque, a real plus! But the fact that really calls my attention, in a very positive way, is the typical turkish hospitality. I do really like it! How nice, gentle and attentive they are! Always with a smile and willing to help. At the Seraglio, we also found this great atmosphere. We had the complimentary transfer service, from Ataturk Airport, as we booked for 4 nights, that worked really fine. Transfer out, we made through the front desk and was perfect as well. It was on a brand new car, indeed. Upon our check in, we received complimentary voucher for one dinner at the Bistro, which was delicious! Again, how courteous and nice they are! Breakfast with plenty of fruits, typical pastries, cheeses, breads, meats and so on! At the check out, I realized a room service that actually neither my parents nor myself requested and was prompt cancelled. As a "goodbye", each one of us received a typical key chain. Once again I left Turkey with a great impression! Definitely, lovely people!

I am very glad to have stayed in the Sultanahmet area and very happy to have chosen Seraglio hotel.
The hotel was very comfortable and rooms were of a high standard.... Modern bathrooms, tv, wifi etc. we stayed in two rooms over the week and staff were very friendly and accommodating and happily organised our transfers for our internal flights / minding of suitcases / and informing us of what was in the area, places to see etc.
Breakfast had a good selection of foods and having a restaurant/cafe attached to the hotel was great for a quiet drink in the afternoon and made dinner an easy option when tired after big sight seeing days.
A couple of small corner kiosks on same block.
Lots of cafes / restaurants in the are. - easy walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, tram stops .... Good walk to Grand bazaar. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Tip for travelers in Ramadam - was a fabulous time to get an insight to Muslim culture. Festivities around the Blue Mosque park area should not be missed. To have a family offer us, strangers/ clearly tourists, some of their homemade desserts was a special moment and demonstrated the spirit of the Turkish people.

From previous reviews my son and I were expecting the hotel to be the perfect base for what was a too short visit to the wonderful city of Istanbul, and we were not disappointed. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, the room had everthing we needed including excellent internet, and the breakfast buffet was surprisingly extensive with lovely fresh fruits, cheese and cold cuts all served with a smile and a great omelet if required.
We will definitely be back.

Chose this hotel based on the many reviews. Can only confirm the previous reviewers comments. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink and were given all sorts of information which gave us a good start exploring this beautiful city. Room was clean and the interior fairly modern. We enjoyed the nice view of the local street and the minarets of the Blue Mosque. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay in Hotel Seraglio. Although the previous visit (when we spent 4 nights ) was some 9 months ago, the manager on duty immediately recognised us. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks (beer and fruit juice) and given a room with a view of the minarets of the Blue Mosque. The hotel restaurant has a wonderful table - we found the meals to be reasonably priced and very tasteful. All in all, good value for money and to be recommended.
