We booked the restaurant after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, (however there are two tria elegance restaurants in Istanbul) its a little hard to find and the lobby of the hotel really put us off, it's a bit naff and 70s looking. Goodness only knows why they serve the hotel breakfast there when they have the terrace.
As we'd booked, we decided to persevere and head up in the lift, we weren't welcomed in reception but some guests heading out helped us.
Upon getting out of the lift, we realised it was going to be okay, what a beautiful view and ambiance. Another daunting moment was when the HUGE tome of a menu appeared but with only 4 dishes to a page you can see why it was so big. We shared the meze plater to start and had fun guessing what everything was, the salmon and mackerel rolls were delicious.
Our mains were lovely, although when we saw the flaming parcels of fish go to other tables we were a little envious!
Pudding was a slight disappointment, we had chocolate cake to share, which turned out to be chocolate fondant, and looked very much like it had been prepared in advance and reheated, if not bought it. It tasted lovely though.
The service was attentive and charming.
