“Great Spot Near The Galata Tower”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Charming place to take a break and have a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Pepo Cafe has surprisingly excellent food. It's on a quaint little street just behind the Galata Tower with some wonderful shopping right next to the cafe. I had the Chicken Casserole and it was delicious. my wife went tapas style with two starters of hummus and. Eggplant. Very very good.

Go to Lal the shop across the street. Great handmade T-shirts and I bought a wild pair of one of a kind designer shoes. My wife got some Turkish towels down the lane.

Really a fun time. The staff is very hospitable and entertaining.

“Poor food quality and preparation with misleading menu pictures”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

Food menu pictures and the food served were two different things altogether. Poor quality food with slack timing and a lack of finesse. Was served eggplant rolls pictured as fresh that had been fried! Server shrugged this off when we didnt eat it. lovely looking restaurant though, it's a pity

“Great breakfast spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Visited this restaurant a couple of times for breakfast/brunch. Very close to our apartment, great freshly squeezed orange juice, Turkish coffee and tee, good selection of items on the menu and very reasonable prices. Staff friendly and pay attention to the fact you are there unlike some other establishments we visited.

“Hidden gem near Galata Tower - local artisits displays adds to the experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Short and sweet review - lovely little cafe / restaurant on the way up to the Galata Tower from Karakoy tram station (or a few steps down from the tower). We had breakfast on the rear terrace, which you wouldn't know was there from the entrance. Fresh, good quality ingredients (and they even had mocha coffee!) and warm, friendly service combined with thoughtful art / decor made for a refreshing experience.
They also have lunch and dinner menus, which looked great, although we did not have the chance to sample these.
