My husband and I recently stayed at the BW Amber hotel for 5 nights in March. The hotel is very conveniently located to Kumkapi and at a walking distance to the tram on the main road. We had an excellent stay here and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager, Zivile Maral, who took the time to explain the routes and the area. She helped us plan our day with the things to do and how to get there & since we are vegetarians she even suggested the food we could eat! The breakfast spread was wonderful and sumptuous!
The rooms are average sized but are very comfortable. Just wish our beds had creaked a little less.
My only gripe was the constant smell of smoke in the room which we could tell was coming through the lobby from one of the rooms next to us; even though the rooms were non-smoking. Not that the hotel staff could have done much, but wish people staying in the rooms were more considerate!
I will certainly stay here again if I had to; it's a good hotel at a reasonable price and great service!
