“Istanbul Praise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

We didnt know what to expect when we got to Istanbul. What a pleasant surprise The Peak Hotel turned out to be. Very well situated in terms of public transport, restaurants in the Old part of Istanbul. The rooms aren't big but very comfortable and adequate. Clean bathroom and good shower (bathroom door leaked a bit). The best breakfast we had in Turkey in 3 weeks!!! Very helpful and friendly staff. This hotel was the best value for money that we had in Turkey and included transport from the airport. If I go back to Istanbul I will definitely stay at the Peak Hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

The hotel is situated close to Tarik Squàre and only 300 meters to tunel train . The staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast was good and the room was a little bit small but it s not a big problem if you stay there for 2 - 3 nights. I will recommend a visit at the Junction restaurant at this hotel. Very tasty food and extraordinary service from the staff. They are really friendly!

Room Tip: The Junction restaurant is worth to visit!

Stayed for 3 nights in June 2014 with wife in de-luxe room which we thought was rather small until we were able to look into a standard room that was being cleaned. Would classify our room as cosy, with toilet and shower immediately adjacent bedspace. Bed was double and rather short and could also clearly hear people in adjoining rooms conversing, showering and adjusting clothes hangars. Outlook was across alley to wall of adjoining building so don't expect a balcony or views.
On the positive side, room was clean, reception staff helpful and breakfast ok but could do with a little more variety.Location is handy to main shopping thoroughfare and metro stations. In general ok for short stays.

Room Tip: As area an get noisy on weekends, ask for a room that offers some degree of quietness from outside.

It is a wonderful, great hotel at the heart of the city. Clean, very demanding hotel, the rooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, helpful. The breakfast was very, very super. The price included one way transfer from the airport and one dinner. Excellent value for the money. I can only afford to everybody, who wants a really perfect hotel in Istanbul.

I liked a lot the location and the service there. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. In the morning when I needed to leave very early I got a pack with very tasty sandwich for the road. Well done!

Positioned near Istiklal, main shopping street, with many restaurants, cafes and not far from metro station, this hotel offer good service either to business or leisure travelers.

I had room on 7th floor, with "normal" bathroom (no sink in the room) and top to bottom window. Room was clean, although in bathroom I found some brownish stains on toilet :/

Very good breakfast, better than in other hotels I stayed in Istanbul. Reception had some problems with money changing as they didn't had enough cash.

I am sure when the conceptual plan for the room was reviewed it looked great. However the practical application leaves much to be desired. The bright blue lights that remain illuminated to help you find the light in the night are not conducive to sleep. The only way to silence the air con is to remove the master card to isolate everything. As with many Turkish hotels the bath/shower splash panels are fixed and provide limited access. In our room the bath/shower was end on with the deepest and widest part of the bath needing to be negotiated to use either the shower or the bath. This may or not be typical but is something to be aware of if you are in any way less than fully flexible. The hotel is well located and the rooms at the back are quiet enough. The Junction restaurant provided an excellent meal,

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter. Check the access to the bath/shower meets your needs before unpacking...
