“Great Location, Warm hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Mehmet was wonderful from the first email we sent each other. There was a bit of a hiccup when making reservations online, as the website and reservation confirmation wasn't very clear, however, that didn't defer us from staying with them, as Mehmet was so gracious and apologetic. We only stayed here one night, as we were coming back from Bodrum and on the way back to Ataturk Airport the next day to fly home. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and our room was nice and clean. The walk to Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, etc was not more then 10 mins, so it's a great location! We also loved their restaurant recommendation, Belli. Mehmet and the staff were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcomed. Almost felt like home away from home.

The hotel is small and charming. The rooms had space enough and was quite intimately organized. For a city the noice at nights was not bad even though we slept with open doors to the small balconies with only branches of trees and leaves outside and the blue night sky.
On top at the terasse you can have your breakfast or a night cup while gazing at the Marmaran sea.
And the staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The breakfeast is simple, but tasty. Ask the nice ladies for an omelette. They make them with sprinkle of chilly :-) Or the cheeses and olives....

One hint: from the terasse you see directly over the old city walls (and a motorway) to a green park by the sea. Dont miss going there on Sundays, when the locals go there for barbequing and relaxing. Bring your best barbeque spears, because you will be invited to join in.

Room Tip: oh no, we don't want to see our room occupied......

Hidden in a quiet alley, Berce hotel has offered us a very comfortable stay indeed.
Other than its wonderful position of being bear Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, tram etc, the staff welcomed us with ready smiles.
Serkan provided us awesome information for us to familiarise ourselves with Istanbul further (feel almost like locals already) while Mehmet enhances our stay experience as he shares facts on Turkey, in-depth information on how to move around Istanbul with ease; what we can expect for Turkish bath etc.

We had a most pleasant stay and wish the very best for all Berce hotel staff.

We stayed a week in this charming hotel and were constantly amazed at the outstanding service. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay perfect,
especially Mehmet, who even gave us the number of his personal mobile phone
so we could call him if we got lost. Our room had 3 balconies overlooking the Bospherus Straight: what a view! Every evening we finished a wonderful day of sightseeing with drinks on the rooftop terrace and interesting chats with the owner who joined us. Everyone made us feel at home! We are experienced travelers who
feel this is one of our all time favorite places to stay. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Room Tip: Ask for Room 105. It had a great view with 3 balconies

I have returned from my trip to Istanbul along with my friends and i`m happy to recommend this hotel not just because it was a great memorable stay also the type of service what Mehmet and his team had given us in the 4night stay was a truly memorable that even other 5star hotel was not available during my stay in other countries. The location is great, 5 min from Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet area. Breakfast is very good, fresh vegetables, cheese, eggs, cheese rolls etc. Mehmet is really nice and is doing a wonderful job and helped us not only by recommending certain places but also made the reservation for the best nearby tours under the great reasonable price . We have stayed in a Double room it was a good room which can fit 2 people easily and great bathroom. Will definitely recommend others those who are looking for such service under great price and smile on face to serve you.

The Berce Hotel is a very nice quite little Hotel with almost all the major sightseeing points within short walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making arrangements or helping for other services. We enjoyed a very clean and nicely decorated room and a warm family type service. The breakfast on the terrace on the top of the house with a view over the sea was also a highlight. I would recommend this place anytime for someone looking for small individual place.

We  stayed at Berce Hotel for three nights in the beginning of April. It was fantastic time - all tulips and pansies were blossoming. The location of the hotel was perfect - right near the SultanAhmet Mosque and Hippodrome.  The staff were always ready to help us to solve all our problems we might have (transfer to airport, find the best way to any place we ask for, etc.). There  were 3 balсonies in our room and it was very-very cozy. We had a desk, 2 armchairs, all facilities to make coffee or tea.  Just needed a small coffee table by the armchairs :). Wi-fi access to Internet was fast and stable for all our 4 gadgets.
