“Nice spot for lunch with views of Blue Mosque”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Great location if visiting the Blue Mosque. We had a late lunch here and it was totally empty inside. However food was very nice and authentic. Prices were very reasonable.

“Overlooked Ottoman opportunity.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

....to enjoy the resonance of the Ottoman past with a lovely view of the Blue Mosque. Turkish food has finite appeal, but do have the chicken kebab in paper, very nice.

Many thanks to Eunice for this tip which contributed greatly to the success of the WCA weekend in Istanbul. Rami's restaurant is almost certainly to be missed unless someone tells you about it. Restored in Ottoman style in 1989, it also houses many works of the famous Ankara painter Rami Uluer. Apparently busy in the evenings, we were the only party having lunch on Saturday and enjoyed a conservatory type view over the Sultan Ahmed mosque while having our meal.

“Best Ottoman!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

Is always a great pleasure and treat to go back to Rami every time I am in Istanbul (that is at least once a year). The setting (you can touch the Blue Mosque) the atmosphere (the beautiful building kept as it was) and the lovely Othoman cuisine with the tastes and smell of ages ago. Still one of the best restaurants in town and, as Istanbul is not a cheap place to eat the prices are not too bad (they do not accept credit cards but they advise you when you make the reservation).

“Expensive but great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Compared to other restaurants in Istanbul, this is definitely a splurge, but we loved the food so much that we went twice. Everything from the appetizers, to the main course, to the dessert was excellent. We love Turkish food, and though we found other restaurants tor much less that were still excellent, eating at Rami was special for us and everything was prepared perfectly. Also they have great views of the Blue Mosque.

“Beautiful building poor food and service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

I was sucked in by the quaintness of the building and a couple of famous people had eaten there. Don't be fooled. The service was poor. The waiter never smiled and did not make us feel welcome. My friend had lamb in what tasted very much like chicken soup! Go and have a look inside, it is lovely but do not eat there.
