Three of us booked a room at the Osmanhan Hotel and stayed one memorable night last week. The small hotel is a little difficult to find, but worth is effort! The room was up several flights of stairs, but our luggage was carried for us. The room was very pretty and large. The bathroom was spotless and included a hair dryer and nice shampoos, soaps and lotion. There is a coffee and tea pot and refrigerator in the room. The A/C is adequate. The breakfast defies words. It is served on the rooftop with a fabulous view of the sea. There are eggs, pastries, meats, cheeses, juices cereals, cookies and even sweet fried peppers. The coffee is great. We can't say enough about the service from the people at the desk. They arranged for a pick up at our cruise boat, made tour reservations, and made sure a private van was there to take us to the airport. In the afternoon, after a hectic day of sightseeing we lounged on the rooftop with a bottle of wine from a nearby small grocery store. Their recommendation for dinner in a small restauarant around the corner from the hotel was excellent. We can not wait to return to this magical city and the Osmanhan Hotel.

Room Tip: Calling cabs might be cheaper but pay the extra Euros to have the hotel arrange your transportation...

I selected this hotel due to the great reviews on trip advisor and it didnt disappoint. The hotel is charming with only 8 rooms I think as its a traditional turkish guest house. Rooms were spotless and lovely with tea and coffee making facilities in each room. The best bit was the breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bosphorus on one side and the blue mosque the other. Great selection of food and overall the hotel was excellent value for money. The guys who work there are friendly and have great recommendations for local restaurants so definitely ask them. Wifi was excellent.

We booked Osmanhan Hotel to be near the sights of Sultanahmet and nearby the sea. It was just a boutique with a roof top terrace looking over the sea. It is also quiet quarter with modern restaurants and bars (mainly visited from tourists).
We reached earlier than check in time. The owner Mustafa asked me to wait comfortably in the terrace and served us breakfast. Our holiday in Istanbul started with such a warm welcome.
We totally stayed at Osmanhan for 3 nights and were very satisfied. The hotel provided a great place to stay with clean facilities, delicious brekfast, helpful staff and great location. The courtesy and help from the whole staff was an unforgettable experience.
We highly recommend this place

We had 3 nights before our Turkey tour and another night at the end. Osmanhan Hotel is a lovely small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff (thank you to Hakan and the other staff) that made our stay in Istanbul very pleasant. The rooms are very well maintained and breakfast on the rooftop terrace was excellent with a very good range of foods. The hotel is in a great location for walking to the Istanbul "must see" sights and there are many restaurants nearby. A lovely hotel and we would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

This hotel is so centrally located that we could walk to Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Saint Sophia, the Grand Bazaar, and the Spice Market. The owner and staff were extremely helpful. The room is very clean and lovely. The housekeeping is high quality. We were especially fond of the breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. It was high quality with rich selection of foods. The terrace is 24 hours open with a view over some of the best parts of the city. We booked this hotel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and it was right. We highly recommend Osmanhan Hotel.

This hotel is in a great location near the major sights of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. It is also near many restaurants. The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Even though my room was on the ground floor, I still received baggage help from the staff. I also was given a helpful map and when I appeared to be going the wrong direction, one of the staff came out to direct me on the right way to go. My room was nicely decorate and the bathroom was very up to date. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked well I loved the fridge with water and other drinks. The breakfast had many choices and a beautiful view. This is a great place to stay.

We stayed for 6 nights in June.
We had one night in a deluxe room and five nights in the ground floor double. The ground floor room was great value. Very similar to the deluxe. Just a bit smaller and with no view because the windows were too high up. One advantage of this room was that there was no stair climbing after a busy day out exploring!
The breakfast was the best of our one month trip with many European and Turkish options. I really liked eating dolma and borek for breakfast.
The staff and owner here are fabulous. Very helpful with good restaurant suggestions. You can also take food and drink back to the hotel and use their top floor.
We used the nearby Express Laundry to do our clothes washing and this was a very reasonable price and they did a great job.
And don't be afraid to use public transport. The tram and metro are safe and easy to use with an Istanbulkart. Once you are used to this, use it to get back to the airport.
