“Good but not great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2009

I took my family to this hotel, and while it has many of the features I would expect from a Park Hyatt - excellent staff, great food, attentive service, I would counsel that there are better options in the city.

A few points on the hotel - the pool was not heated during our stay and was freezing. Just not good enough. Our suite had no view - none whatoever. Very few people in the city know where the hotel is (as it is new) and as such, you cant get in a cab and be sure of making it back there easily.

In contrast we went to the Four Seasons - a hotel in a different league.

This was literally one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The standard room was beautiful and quite large. The bathroom was amazing--steam shower, heated floors, large bathtub, a separate basin sink with drinking water, etc, etc. We really appreciated all the extras in the room--bathrobes, slippers, a large bowl of fresh fruit on arrival, free DVDs, great bath products. Service was excellent--as you'd expect from Park Hyatt. The only thing that could have made this hotel even better would have been a nicer view. Also, the wireless internet connection in the room was not all that reliable.

A perfect hotel in a fascinating city! Everything about the hotel is perfect. The staff is top notch, the rooms are gorgeous, and the location is in a very chic neighborhood. The only negative as others have said, is that no Taxi drivers seem to know where the hotel is, but we were prepared and carried the map we got from the concierge to show the taxi drivers the exact location.
Do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel, you won't regret it!

Fantastic rooms and very reasonable rates! Let down by the lack of a view. We had a room overlooking the pool which is surrounded by offices and residential blocks.

The staff were great but be wary of the prices for drinks etc

Taxi drivers seemed unaware of the existence of the hotel so guessing it's fairly new as the tend to take you to the Regency Hyatt

Wouldn't hesitate in using this hotel again - very very nice

As mentioned by many other reviewers this is one of the best boutique hotels in the world, not just Istanbul. I stay in dozens of hotels every year and this hotel is easily in the top 10 of beautiful small hotels anywhere in the world. The service is excellent. The rooms are stunning, especially the bath rooms.
The only downside to this hotel are the prices in the restaurant and bar. This is not uncommon in Istanbul but paying $30US for a cocktail is unreasonable.
The location is in a high end shopping area but will require a short cab ride to get to most tourist sites.

This is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, and I travel a lot. Very stylish, and the service was impeccable. The staff were knowledgable, friendly, and courteous.

I've read other posts about other hotels and why being within walking distance of historical sights/mosques is so desirable. However, I'd rather be in the Nisantasi neighborhood where the Park Hyatt is and take a 20 minute cab rather than stay in the run down parts of the city just so I can walk to the tourist spots. The hotel is surrounded by very trendy shops, cool cafes, and excellent restaurants. Would not stay anywhere else during my next visit.
