“Best ever hotel service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Excellent property in Dushanbe with exceptional service standard every single day from every single employee. I do not know how they train their staff or how high are their salaries, but the service seems to be very sincere, not a "yes, sir" mask put on.

Rooms are spacious with everything you may need in them. Occasionally there are surprises like fruits or cakes in the room. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub, although I am not big on glass-walled bathrooms - prefer much more privacy.

During a lengthy stay there, I saw the cleaning lady only once, but sheets and towels were changed daily and curtains opened & drawn every morning and every night. They obviously have some sensors or surveillance to make use of every minute I was out of the room.

The breakfast was super good. Meat cuts, fish, pancakes, omelettes, and porridge made to order. Cereals, fruits, croissants - all fresh and tasty. Fresh juices and selection of coffees and teas. Some colleagues were big fans of their hot chocolate.

Their pool is big, clean, and has a sauna next to it. Their gym is also well equipped for a hotel and has free personal trainer service for guests.

Room Tip: Go for Regency Club if possible

We have stayed regularly at the Hyatt in Dushanbe over the last two years and always enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and attentive if, as others have alluded to, not always as competent at English as one might like, leading to the odd mix up over breakfast orders and the like, however any misunderstandings have been helpfully dealt with and the management have made big efforts to resolve any issues.

Rooms are a reasonable size and the bathroom fittings good quality. Cleaning always appears good.

We like the fairly minimalist design, but have traveled with others who have not been so keen. The sitting out area with the fountain is a particularly pleasant place in the summer.

The massages are good value, as is the hairdresser and beauty salon, and the spa area is great, with a nice, although not particularly large indoor pool.

The Foccaccia restaurant can be fairly souless in the evening, but the food is generally good. It would be great if there were more vegetarian and salad options however.

Overall this is our favorite of the hotels we regularly stay in (Intercontinental - Almaty, Hyatt - Bishkek and here) and we would very much recommend it.

Stayed there on the 11th till the 13th June 2013.
Very pleasant stay overall.
Would be nice if the service staff spoke more English.
Wanted something form housekeeping..could not understand my request...
Other than that the restaurants is best.

Room Tip: An oasis in a very newly developed city. Dushanbe. It's the choice to stay for business trip.

The service, food and amenities were excellent. The rooms were clean and nice, but a bit bizarre (especially the lighting). The restaurant is very well suited to business meetings. One of the gift shops has some beautiful paintings by Tajik artists.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Was a guest of the Hyatt for 3 days from 15th of April 2013. This was not my first trip to Dushanbe but during the previous trip I stayed in the Serena Dushanbe. Decided to stay in the Hyatt this time as was greatly disappointed from the Serena hotel and will never return.

My stay in the Hyatt was pleasant and I look forward to being their guest again. The room was top notch, the bed - very comfortable and the front office - reception were very professional. The service we got at the 2 bars was also of international standard. We had dinner at the main restaurant one night and all was superb. To sum up - felt very well looked after and very welcome; had a restful and pleasant stay and will definitely return.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Stayed here for 5 days in early March 2013 and overall quite impressed. Rooms are large and comfortable, very quiet, and one of the best showers in any hotel anywhere. Lobby is somewhat sterile, but fine. Only complaint is the internet - they dont have wireless in the rooms ad charge for a cable connection - when it works. Restaurant is ok, but lunch selections very limited. Breaksfast buffet is good. Bar and lounge are good, but didt experience the spa. Business Center is well equipped, but could be open longer hours. Overall a very good hotel in a good location in a nice city

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Stayed here twice in 2012 on business, once in March for two weeks and again in May for another two weeks.

Built in 2008, the hotel still has that new feel about it. I booked ahead and got a really good rate, well as good as i think you could possibly get here. The rooms i stayed in were perfect, nice floor to ceiling windows and great views over the mountains. The sliding door in the bathroom meant that i could have an amazing view of the snow capped mountains as i showered every morning. The bed was just right, not too hard or soft with nice comfy pillows and duvet. The room also had a nice desk situated by the window, so working from the hotel room was a preferred option for me.

The hotel is big, and as such it seemed to be empty most of the time (perhaps it was...), anyway, i liked the open spaces, wide corridors, and large windows. The spa and gym are one of the high points of the hotel, the pool is a bonus, but i rarely used it.

Breakfast was very good, but, please hyatt, invest in a cheese slice! I ate several times in the bar in the evening when i could not be bothered to go out. The guys in the bar are excellent as were all of the the staff who were extremely polite and welcoming, they always did everything they could to help me.

Two other items:

1) Location, its a bit out of the way if you like eating and drinking around the opera, so my tip is this - outside on the main road local taxis rumble up and down all day and night. If you want to get to the opera hop in a number 8 which will take you directly to the opera via Somoni and Rudaki, total cost 3 som! You will of course have to share on the way, but this can be fun.
2) Do not hire a car from the hotel, its very expensive and better deals can be found elsewhere.

I am heading back to Dushanbe soon, but may try the Serena to just to compare (plus i have a serena discount card) and for a little variety.
