The Gallery Cafe is quite deceptive looking rather small from its relatively humble exterior but once you get into the building you can see that it is large. As you walk through to the bar and restaurant you pass various paintings being displayed in a covered courtyard. To one side there is a specialist shop that's worth a look!
The bar specialising in a wide range of cocktails both alcoholic and non-alcoholic is adjacent to the restaurant and is great for a quiet drink while you wait or just a drink. The restaurant was cool. I went there for dinner one evening midweek and as the night went on the place filled up but not as to become overly full. One annoying point was that smoking was allowed and can drift across the tables. The menu provided a good set of choices and I would recommend the baked crab and the lamb which were excellent and the prices were not too expensive!
I would certainly visit there again and recommend the venue for something a little different.
