“shopaholic's paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

The prices are a real good bargain..be it clothes ,cosmetics, home appliances, furnishings...it has everything and at the best of price...When you convert the prices into Indian rupee..its dead cheap...but I cant vouch for the authenticity of brands like Prada, Gucci...you could never get them for the price they mention...And it has heavy rush...billing took a lot time...and we had to bubble pack some of the products, even that took a lot time...Anyways cant blame them much considering the crowd!!

“What a let down”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

My first experience at the new premise was terrible. This is the worst laid out mall in Asia, no thought has been given to the customer. You park your car in the lowest floor and have to walk up the ramps to enter the premise, dodging the cars that are coming in and going out.
Lot of things are on display but they are no longer value for money. Staff in attendance are not friendly any more. Guess they are overworked they couldn't be bothered. No changing rooms ( another first for Asia) Everyone tries the clothes over what they are wearing in front of wondering eyes of both males and females. You need to go there once to experience it. You have to be nuts to go again. There are many more places to shop in Colombo where you feel you are welcome.
They have got a huge building, but most of the other things seem to have been worked out wrong. It is over rated. This is a classic case of reinventing the wheel when you can learn from the great malls in the region.

“Worth a Visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

Who believe that Srilanka is a shoppers' paradise then they should visit this place. Its a mall kinda place very famous. You can buy garments, toys , electronics , footwears and so on.
We bought a lot of garments from here which we found value for money.

“Great bargains and great new store”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

The new premises of house of fashions for loyal customers is a heaven! great and spacious - dedicated floors for all different segments and a much better selection of stock. Still the same rock bottom prices make this a must visit with A/C!

“Over-rated place which sells middle low end clothes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

I had a few days to spare relaxing in Colombo, I was told this place is possible the biggest fashion outlet in whole of Asia (I am very skeptical being from Hong Kong, a shopping paradise itself) I gave this a try anyway. I was impressed by the facade, but it sure isn't huge on any scale, comparing to the rest of Asia. It's newly opened, so the place is spacious, clean and some parts look rather empty. In terms of clothing, there is nothing to write home about. Mostly cheap low end, at best middle end fashion. I feel their selection is rather blend, although prices are good. Other products such as their perfumes and toiletries are made in China, not one country to be associated with this kind of product. They carry a limited range of SriLankan souvenirs, at a reasonable price. This is may get the attention of the locals, but not on par yet with the international shopping scene. It's too much trouble to come all the way for this, better stick with Odel, undoubtedly the best and only department store in all of Sri Lanka which sells good stuffs.
