When I first heard that the former President's home was being converted into a boutique hotel and restaurant, I was sceptical. But upon discovering Tintagel, I was immediately surprised. The food is delicious but service can be slow so expect lukewarm food. It is sad that they don't have a liquor license and charge for corkage which is unfair!
Moreover, if you sit outside be prepared to be devoured by mosquitoes, they can be ferocious so lather yourself with repellent.
Although pricey, the food can be delicious especially the Sri Lankan food!
I would say that Tintagel is good but only if it you like a very private meal!
