“2nd worst hotel Ive ever stayed at”

This would be nearly the worst Hotel Ive stayed at.
Payed top dollar for a suite room, this was the only choice we had being that there was a conference on in Vientiane that weekend. I wanted just a Hotel with a pool, and a reasonable room.
The pool was empty, the Hotel was a long way from town, which I realized but to find a tuk tuk or taxi was nearly impossible to find one.
The Room service took for ever to arrive, and the food was I must say ordinary.
Our fridge in the room didnt work, either did the remote for the TV.
The next morning there was dog [--] outside our door???
The Hotel took pets (as many Asian Hotels do)
This really was the straw that broke the camels back. We went down for breakfast which was SHOCKING, and checked out.
I would not reccomend this to my ex mother in law, (& thats saying something)

Did not have high expectations of a hotel in a developing country but
decided to give it a go.

I was greeted at the airport by staff and taken to the hotel. The lobby was nice and the all staff were quite friendly and most spoke some form of english. The thing that stood out was the size of the rooms. I got lucky and got upgraded to one of the suites and it was literally the size of my apartment back home!

I was impressed however the drawback was there was not door inbetween the lounge area and the sleeping area, but there were curtains provided. Most mod cons were available - in room safes, dvd players and tv etc. Internet access was through the business centre and fairly priced.

Overall, the place was out of town but the staff were more than helpful with complimentary transfers into town when i needed. I would
definately recommend this place and stay again!
