I've walked by this place a few times. It is now called Avilla or A villa Phasouk. There is a small sign on the main street, but essentially it is around the corner from Joma, Wine 95 and Jazzy Brick. Staff were fairly quiet, but very friendly. I upgraded a bit for the King Suite. It was put together strangely, but I was not disappointed. Nice balcony, very large room, great bed, bathtub, kitchenette area. The mini-bar only had water and cans of beer. The water turned out to be free, the last place I stayed at the cold water was at cost and the room temperature water was free. No elevator was a small drawback and the bathroom amenities were not super quality. But for a room this size at that price, I am not complaining. Breakfast was included, but I never seem to eat breakfast. Checkout was a breeze....as was check in, they didn't bother with the formalities and just took me immediately to the room, I think it was because of Agoda and type of room I booked. Wifi worked wonderfully and I noticed they had some good quality computers in the lobby for guests' use.
