“Little variation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

I have been to this place before and I liked it a lot. When you go back a few times, it seems there is very little variation in the set menu. Still a good place to recommend.

“A classy experience, yet something was missing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant offers authentic French cuisine impeccably presented. In this case, it sets itself apart from the other Lao-French restaurants. The food is delicious, fresh and appetizing from the moment you see it! Its quite an excellent place especially for a business lunch as the lunch menu deal is great. It is also not cheap, and at $50 for four people without alcohol, it was steep compared to the rest of the Lao experience.

While the owner took our order, and was attentive, She was not really able to recommend something to us (maybe because all is good?). When I asked specifically for a recommendation between two starters, I was told it was not comparable. Which, while probably true, was not very useful for a first time customer.

A bit more warm friendly recommendations would have made this experience all the more superb!

“Better places for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I ate here the other night. The restaurant is worth a visit if you live here as you cannot always eat in the same place, but not if you are a tourist. The wines are heavily overpriced and the selection is small. That in itself is not a bad thing, but there were few bottles that grabbed my attention.
I had the set menu. The food was ok, but nothing to rave about.
The tables were too close together and it was far too easy to hear consversations going on at the next table.
For the money we spent there are better choices in Vientiane.

“Great value for top food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

We went for the lunch special. It was 80,000 kip for three courses and 65,000 kip for two. Approximately half the price of dinner.
I have not had such good French food in a long time. One of the best meals ever for such a good price. It may be pricey for Laos but you get such a great meal.
The beef was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce to match. My fish was equally well cooked.

“Great food friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Run by a young couple who make you feel really welcome, the food and wine were both delicious. The quality of food and portion sizes were excellent and I'd highly recommend eating here if you fancy a break from Laos food. I had the set evening meal which was excellent value at 160,000 kip while hubby chose off the main menu. The Zuchini Capuccino to start was beautiful and set the standard for everything else. Lovely place and just around the corner from our hotel.
