“The delicious place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Marvelous food, very reasonable, huge portions. Great service and all for a great cause. There is a little shop selling handmade Laos crafts too all for the charity. We will definitely be going back.

“We came back for seconds and thirds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

We are here 3 times during our week in Vientiane. We tried many dishes - the beef wrapped in leaves and the iced coffee desert were the most memorable, but everything was excellent. They also have a lovely little shop with great bags, aprons, recipe books etc.

“Stylish restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Tasty foods and nice interior.
They could not speak English much, but no problem at all to order and pay.
And we can buy some souvenir also.

“Eat here a few times, it's good but not the best in Vientiane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

I do like that this restaurant is supporting local people by giving them vocational on the job training so they can go on to find good jobs.

I get a little confused as to what style of food it is. The menu has a varied selection of Lao, other Asian, and Western. I prefer a restaurant to stick to one cuisine and do it great. The Lao food is nice but like so many restaurants in Vientiane where tourists go, the food is changed slightly for the tourist palette. I've lived here for a year now and want authentic Lao food that's done to local traditional recipes. For this reason is scores a 4.

The service has always been fine, I have always pre-booked as it gets busy, and the food has always been fresh and hot. If the Lao food was more local and authentic it would score 5

“Good but not that good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

It achieves number status because tourists get "guilt tripped" into going.
Yes it helps under privileged children gain some training in catering and associated services but the prices are high, in our opinion unjustified at the levels they charge considering how cheap things are in Loas. The food is no better than you would get at any Loatian restaurant.
Eat here if you want to donate money but if you're on a tight budget don't bother. You can eat 4-5 meals for the price you pay here.
