Hyatt takes this property seriously and the staff reflect this. Without exception, revelry staff member speak good English and take the comfort and happiness of the guest seriously. Security at this hotel is excellent and this is the hotel of choice for the American Embassy. During my stay, former SECDEF Donald Rumsfeld stayed at the hotel. Physical security is principally show with a gate and bomb check but anyone could drive around it. Guards and German Shepherds patrol and keep sightseers away. Rooms are being renovated right now and should be completed by the end of 2013. Make sure you get a room looking toward the Opera House and the snow-capped Celestial Mountains.. Rooms on the backside are smaller with no view. Restaurants and city sights are within walking distance. The health spa is good and massage is reasonable. One drawback - while the tap water is filtered and safe to drink, it has a faint odor of sulfur dioxide. Ample bottled water is free and can be kept in the small from fridge. Make sure to ask for free access to the Regency Club. Overall, a great experience.

Room Tip: Center - on the entrance side

This hotel has all of the amenities...exercise room, sauna, spa, free full breakfast. It has an excellent, friendly staff at the check-in desk and in the restaurant. Rooms are cleaned each day and supplied with drinking water. The room includes a mini-fridge (empty) which allowed me to bring in sodas and fruit to store cold. Each room also has a big, flat screen TV with CNN, BBC and a few other English speaking channels. They supply an iron and ironing board with two full size closets. The only drawback is that the internet costs $20 US per day!

Centrally located near the center of town, with a multi-story mall just a short walk away.

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor have just been renovated. And the ones facing south have a great view...

Hotel is waaaaay over prices for what you get. The cost per night after taxes for a single tiny room is roughly $400 USD....Hotel is run down fixtures are rusted, beds, linens, curtains are very old. Hotel has a terrible musky smell that took me back to East Germany in the 1980's. Although most of the staff speak in English I can tell you the one Russian word you will quickly learn. Niet=No.......Get used to it because I believe that the front desk staff at this hotel believe that Niet=Customer Satisfaction. The Director of Rooms seems to run the hotel as the General Manager is definitely MIA. The Director of Room's customer service skills where clearly obtained from the Stazy. In a nut shell....The total hotel value is that of a Holiday Inn Express the rate should be roughly $69-$99 USD/night......Hyatt should be asking themselves what they are doing endorsing this "Hotel" in Bishkek.......Traveler Beware!.........Better to stay at any of the other hotels in Bishkek for better value the other Hotels are safe, cleaner, not falling apart, and lastly with a more accommodating hotel staff......

There is nothing seriously wrong with this hotel, I stayed twice now, it has everything you expect from a Hyatt in principle. However, given the high room rate in an otherwise low price country, I will look for an alternative next time. A few things to improve: Standard rooms are just that, not very big, a bit dated, with a narrow bathtub-shower and shower curtain that you must trick into the corner to avoid flooding. AC is quite noisy, I had it off and window open, which gives you traffic noise and the occasional mosquito.

Breakfast (if not included in your rate) is vastly overpriced at almost US$ 30 for a modest buffet, patience is needed as there is no ready made egg and the egg maker is slow, can handle only one pan at a time and needs to do it for room service as well. Staff is friendly but not very competent; unsure what to charge sometimes, need reminder to bring coffee etc.
Given the location, there is no easy alternative such as a coffee shop nearby. You are stuck with the expensive breakfast (or select something from a-la-carte menu) unless you can hang in until lunch.

Room Tip: Rooms to the fron (opera) side supposedly are better, but are also more expensive

Due to some Businesspurposes, we already had been few times in Bishkek and at this Hyatt Hotel, wich is pretty centrally located. It is our first Choice and wecan say, that it is one of the best Hotel in the City (in Comparison with international Standard). Most of the guests are Businesstraveller, so the Hotel focus is 80% of such Clients. Good outfitted Businesscenter and Conference Facillities. Restaurant (and Breakfast) was fully satisfying.
