“Very good - will go back there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Good food selection, but pricey and this stops it getting 5/5. Nice food, good service and an interesting traditional floor-show.

“Very good food in the heart of Astana”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Traditional Kazakh food at very reasonable prices. This restaurant came highly recommended by people who live in Astana, many saying it is the best in the city. My companions and I all enjoyed the food very much. I had lamb and pumpkin dumplings that were awfully good -- and there is so much variety on the menu that it was very hard to decide. There was also live performances, both singing and dancing. It was a bit like being on the Kazakh version of the Love Boat, but it made the evening memorable and fun.

Service was not great. It took almost as much time to get our check as it did to get our food and eat it. Our server seemed to be actively avoiding us. That may very well be because her English was not strong, and none of us spoke Russion or Kazakh. It did not really affect the evening, but it is worth noting. This is definitely a place to visit while in Astana.

“nice place - will not be disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Satti is a nice place, very traditional. the menu is plentiful and the quality of food is good. There's a show there sometimes, which is not convenient if you are there for business talks, but for a party or celebration - it's ok!

“Dining high on horse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Excellent restaurant with fantastic menu offering local specialties, Satti has an outdoor area upstairs under white tents, and an indoor restaurant with live music downstairs. They offer traditional horsemeat dishes, and the traditional drink kumis (fermented horse milk) as well as fermented camel milk. My favorite dish was the noodle soup, lagman. The restaurant is situated in a very scenic part of Astana, on the main boulevard that runs in a straight line from the presidential palace to the yurt-like Khan Shatyr shopping mall.

“An entertaining evening”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

A large restaurant serving Kazakh specialties and offering live entertainment. Different but the entertainment can be a bit loud when trying to have a conversation with your guests.
