“Good spot to enjoy some music, beers, burgers and hot wings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

I had the Freebird burger, that was very filling, My friend had the rib eye and it was more gristle than steak. Also had the chicken wings. Good to go. They have several sauces to go along with it. Good place overall. Staff are very friendly and appealing.

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014 via mobile

Must try... Freebies Burger, buffalo wings/hot wings, Meat - lover pizza...

cozy environment... free ice cold towel, popcorn/garlic fried peanuts, comfortable chair, lots of wall deco items to check it out, nice background music selections, friendly staffs...

Something can be improved... Their water tap in toilet are too slow & soft, kinda frustrating to wash your oily hands after a nice pizza...

Carpark area always been a trouble, I always go by bike.

“Good Western Food in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

I prefer to eat Cambodian food, but for those of you who need a break from the local food or you are really missing a juicy burger with French fries, then this is one of the top two restaurants for that combination. The waitresses have been well-trained and make you feel welcome. In addition, it's in a great location with a lot of specialty shops.

“Great American Bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

Turned up at the Freebird around 6.30pm on a Thursday night. The place is the width of a typical shophouse with a bar running down the left side and some tables down the right, at front and back. The layout makes it personal and the staff make it friendly. Dining alone I took a seat at the bar and ordered a beer, Happy Hour was on and I was immediately given a bowl of nuts and glass of water. The menu is extensive and offers all typical American food ranging from hotdogs to burgers, steak, pizza and chilli. I asked the bartender what people like to order and she suggested the burger so I opted for a Blue cheese and Bacon Burger with fries and beans. This turned out to be a great choice. It was cooked perfectly, the patty not greasy at all but moist and well flavoured. Portion size was good. I could not fault the burger at all and would say it is one of the best home made burgers I have had in years.
In terms of the bar, it was great to be sat there having a beer with no smoking allowed. The music was perfect volume, audible but you could easily talk and be heard. The staff were very smiley and courteous throughout.
As a Brit who has lived in the USA, has many American friends and spent too many nights in US bars I would say this was one of the best I have been in. A lot of this was down to the fact there were no loud politically opinionated Americans in there. Us Brits like a quieter type of bar and this was just that.

“Really good Western food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

If you get sick of Asian food in Phnom Penh, this is a good place to head to. It's a little expensive, for Cambodia, but the food is really good. The chips, the jalapeno poppers, and the blue cheese sauce were all great. The service is really good too, and it's nice and cool inside, so it's a good place to go for lunch on a hot day.
