“wonderful for any traveller”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2010

This was a wonderful boutique hotel located right beside the Royal Palace and within walking distance to many interesting places; tuk tuks always available; very secure; magical!

I stayed as a solo female traveller and the experience here was memorable. Beautiful elegant rooms in the original colonial mansion, and lovely modern tropical rooms with their own walled splash pools. I stayed in both but personal aesthetic led me to favour the colonial one.

Wonderful service, delicious food (breakfast and other meals), friendly and helpful staff. Great price.
I'm recommending The Pavilion to ALL my friends going to Phnom Penh.

Congratulations to all the staff.

Loved the Pavilion - there for 6 nights. Travelled with 5 girlfriends - 3 to a room. Plenty of space. Air-con excellent. Breakfast very nice and staff friendly and helpful. Pool brilliant after hot and sweaty day exploring and shopping. Only problem was the shower - drain not coping and water flooded out onto the bathroom floor. With 3 people showering often meant a real mess. No matter, would stay there again.

I am sorry to hear the drainage was blocked and that the cleaners did not notice it. The Pavilion has 4 full-time maintenance workers and thinks like this should be solved in minutes. Best thing is to immediately inform the reception as we do miss some defects.

Really good location, lovely feel to the place. Large clean room with a huge balcony. Lovely pool. Few too many trees for my liking. Efficent service, the only down side was lack of pressure in the shower. Would recommend and stay there again.

We stayed here for 2 nights, in the garden bungalow. The room was awesome, fully glass but with heavy curtains so you could choose to view the gardens or secret yourselves away.
Breakfast was lovely too, and there was always access to the internet. High walls and teh gatehouse added to the sense of security and the feeling of escape from the husstle and busstle.

My partner and I stayed at the Pavilion for a total of 5 nights in Sept.
This is a lovely, quiet hotel right in the heart of Phnom Penh with friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is set amongst beautiful tropical gardens surrounding the rooms and the pool/ restaurant area.

We stayed in 2 types of rooms while we were at the Pavilion; the private pool room and the jacuzzi room. We would highly recommend either of these rooms, however particularly liked the private jacuzzi room (I think it was room 10).

The only negative thing that we have to say about the Pavilion is that the beds are a little hard, however we also found this in other accommodation in which we stayed in Cambodia.
