“Lovely Setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Take a long walk down the riverbank from the palace and then cut in to the Wat. Pleasantly uncrowded and very photogenic views of the Wat from down below. Drinks available if you have walked there.

“What an atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

We visited visited silver pagoda and Wat Ounalom during our visit, but Wat Phnom impressed us by the atmosphere. There was not led lights etc. but silent music and statues. The place really had something. Probably visiting time, the dusk and the fact that it was not that crowded as other temples also was part of the atmosphere. The hill is anyway beautifully decorated and free of charge.

“A Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Wat Phnom is a fascinating place with such a lot of history, there is so much to see but be warned there are many people and children trying to sell things to you, you can avoid them by making sure you go down the path before you get to the shops they have there. It is definitely worth seeing.

“Interesting Temple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

This is where Phnom Penh started so it's worth a visit. We somehow missed the worst of the vendors and beggars. It is a small climb and it was hot but worth the trip. The elephant that was on the grounds apparently died last year.
