“Makes you think”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

This is a mustt see for travellers, particularly for our age group, as the atrocities happened during our lifetime. It does make you think about the hell Cambodia has gone through in its very recent history. Our tuktuk took 45 minutes each way to get there. It is very dust at times and the road a bit rough. many tourists had face masks. Probably a good idea.

“reminder of how precious freedom is”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

Clear notes for photos that are on display, although some, understandable English grammatical mistakes on the boards etc
conflict of number of people actually killed: 3 millions (audio guide), 2 millions(on board in museum), 1.7 millions on tv news. Despite that, even the smaller estimate is a big number to be killed.
There are cruel and cracy dictators like Pol Pot even nowadays in other countries and they enjoy absolute power such that they can kill anybody they like. I feel sorry for those living under such regimes. For those of us who can enjoy freedom, we should cherish it.

“Worth the visit.”

Important site to understand what happened to this poor country. Khmer rouge was so terrible! Pol Pot and his beliefs are so difficult to understand...what drives this man to do what he did?

“Don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

I will never forget the Killing Fields. Neither will my husband and teenage kids. It was well laid out and the audio was very good. I believe it is very important for us to never forget these kinds of atrocities.

“Sad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Great audio- exhausting but a must see-i think the tuktuk ride out there is all part of the experience- we didnt do Tuol Seng tho as we felt the need to do other things in Phnom Penh that were not related to the genocide.
