“Nothing Special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

This would have been the worst hotel we stayed at on the trip, although largely because we stayed at great places prior to this.

The room was on the third floor (not elevator) and had quite a cool view over the pool. The room is clean, but quite out-dated and the wet bathroom floor is very impractical.

Staff were helpful and the food was quite nice too. Location was average in that it was down a dirty road, although it's easy to get to the central market etc. from here.

Room Tip: Second story is probably the best, as you get the privacy of not having people walking past your roo...

Stayed for four nights on first visit, the pool is a great relief from the heat of bustling Phnom Penh. Very easy to arrange onward travel via the front desk. This is a good base for visiting the sights, well worth a stay here.

We stayed here for one night as a family of six in September and wished we'd stayed longer. We had one very big room for all of us which worked out very well as there was plenty of room for all our bags etc. The room was very clean and the bathroom was lovely. The atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and relaxed. The restaurant is adjacent to the pool which meant we could relax whilst the children were having a swim. The restaurant food was great with a varied menu. The kids enjoyed sampling some of the western meals, the first in a while! The staff were very attentive, providing a very good service. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Phnom Penh.

Stayed here for two nights while in PP. Great place, clean, comfortable beds, great breakfast, friendly English speaking staff and a lovely pool. Not too far from anything by tuk tuk while exploring the city. We were two women travelling alone and always felt safe.

This hotel delivered in so many ways. The location was quiet but central, only a short walk from the central markets and there were plenty of tuk tuks outside for cheap transport everywhere else. We had a family room on the ground floor as we were travelling with our son, the room was large and clean. I though the bed was a bit too firm but my wife disagreed (typical.) The staff were great and couldn't be more helpful. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Billabong for three nights in August. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The big pool is fantastic and also clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good, the menu options are simple and not huge, which was fine as we chose to eat out a lot anyway. Recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor have a private seating area/porch overlooking the pool
