“Great Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Set slighty away from main sights of city but close enough to reach with a short tuk,tuk ride (and very close to Genocide Museum)this is an excellent choice if you are after comfort at a very good price. Fast wifi, clean rooms, great pool area and a reasonable bar/restaurant, you can't really ask for more. I only noticed the construction noise once I was awake, but I guess if you are a light sleeper it could be an issue. Bathtub on the balcony was amazing.

I stayed 5 nights in the Rambutan. At my arrival the staff welcomed me with a cold drink. The swimmingpool (located at the entry) is no too big but fine for me. The rooms are great and very clean. Excellent wifi everywhere. The staff at the frontdesk will help you with everything, I've got the feeling these people really enjoy their work. Only downside: they are building an appartment next to the hotel. Cambodian people like to get up early so sometimes I get woken up by the sound of hammers.
I could recommend this hotel to everybody!

This new hotel really deserves business - the service is genial and staff are always happy to help with bookings and anything else you might require. The beds are very comfortable, and the decor is cool (in a polished concrete, hip kinda style). Rooms have a safe and fridge (and free water), plus nice modern Sony Bravia TVs (good for viewing photos from USB). The pool is lovely, and surprisingly big for city lodgings (many at cheaper places in Phnom Penh are token and more like baths!). Breakfast is fine, and the cocktails are good. You are a little too far away from the main areas to walk in probably, but there's always tuk tuks hanging around outside that'll take you in for $3-4 ($2 if you haggle).

I would love to say that this was an oasis of calm, but given the sandwich of building work at sites on either side of us it was pretty noisy most of the day! This wasn't the hotel's fault though, so I can't really fault them there - though some acknowledgement of it would've been good.

Wunderful minimalist architecture and design meets pleasant and helpful staff.
Good location, tasty food, wonderful pool.
Our "pool view" room had even a bathtub on the balcony - very special experience.

Room Tip: If you plan to use the room during daytime also, I would strongly recommend to stay in the "poo...

Great little boutique hotel in the BKK neighborhood of Phnom Penh. Close to many restaurants and located within easy access to many embassies. The owners take special care of the property and guests and ensure your stay is comfortable and lovely.

The restaurant is quite the treat and the bartender makes excellent cocktails. I am now addicted to the Khmer martini. Morning breakfast is simple yet adequate and the wonderful fresh French press coffee makes it all better. The salt water pool is exactly what you need after a long tiring day in the city. It is very clean and well-maintained.

Rooms are well furnished with large beds and some rooms (like mine - the garden view suite) have a small day bed in addition to the bed. The outdoor bathtub located on the balcony is a treat (and it is private, if you are wondering).

The in-house spa offers great services ranging from traditional Khmer massage to manicures and pedicures. Reasonably priced and high quality services!

The only disadvantage is the construction next door which can be noisy at times, but you don't really hear the noise when you are inside your room. All the pros outweigh the construction noise.

Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a great boutique experience.

Room Tip: Choose the garden view rooms if you want to have an outdoor private bathtub.

We were greeted with cool towels and iced tea when we arrived. The staff had huge smiles and were incredibly nice throughout our stay. We used the hotel driver mr. Savi for our 3 days and he was wonderful. He took is to some great places we never would have found without him. The pool was nice and cool and you can sit there and drink cocktails as a welcome relief to the heat. Our rooms were spacious and very clean. The day bed was a nice extra too. We will stay there again for sure
