“Stay away from the restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

So a group of four of us stayed two nights at this hotel. After checking in and doing a four hour bus ride from sihanoukville, we were too hungry to try and search for food on the streets of Phnom Penh, which we totally regret on not trying in the end. First was the service. Language shouldn't have been an issue when I'm the only non khmer in our group. The server took our order and just brought over 1 (orange juice) out of the 4 (sodas)drinks that took another 15 minutes to get. The utensils were rusted and dirty. When the food did arrive 35 minutes later, we got a cold soup, an under cooked burger, a curry with a super long hair strand, and rice with hair in it. After that I was so disgusted that I didn't want anything else. We told the staff and they called to remake most of the food. Once the second order came up, (oh I forgot to mention the food is coming all the way from the first floor to the rooftop "restaurant"). We then find baby flies in the curry. By that time I'm so fed up and tell I tell staff to do something about our bill and they just look at me like "what do you want me to do?". So I grab my fiancé and have him translate and get 2 items taken off the bill which still came out to still be $30..

Long story short... Don't eat here!!! You have a better chance getting cheap, safer, and better service at a corner local khmer restaurant.

Not pleasant at all, if you're on GAdventures you have no choice as to stay, otherwise look elsewhere. We had dirty linen and a very loud. Any conversations from the hallway can be heard very clearly! Who knows... Maybe it was just our room...

Nice room, pleasant staff and it has a rooftop pool.....much needed in Phnom Phenn. Sunset from the roof is great and there are great all round views. Hotel us close to river and many bars and food outlets.

Room Tip: Rooms at back have no window's but are quieter

Planned to stay for 03 nights has to cut it to one night and booked somewhere else. Thanks God no advance was given :)

Pros
+ Location right on ST 136 night life and very close to River front. Indian restaurant within 05min walking distance
+ Staff are nice and helpful
+ In night, roof top area is peaceful, very pleasant breeze

Cons
- Better options in same price range available further close to riverfront.
- Bathrooms are horrible, smelly.
- Breakfast is a barely anything. No fresh juices
- Cleaning was an issue as well .... from lifts to rooms to lobby.
- Pool is just bigger than bath tab and very crowded ... no place to sit or change

Room Tip: Please stay somewhere else .... better clean options are available nearby

Staff is nice. The rest is terrible. We rented 3 different rooms. Bathrooms are horrible. ABF (American Breakfast) is a joke. If you call white rice with an egg ABF, you will be satisfied though. One room had no windows. One room was leaking. By far the worst hotel I slept in, for 45 USD. If the price was 8 USD I would not sleep there either.

I arrived in Phnom Penh without having booked anywhere and so relied on a tuk tuk driver to advise me. Big mistake! Arrived at the hotel during the day and so it is not apparent what area you are in. By night it turns out you are right in the middle of the red light district. The hotel is full of grey haired old western men and their local very young prostitutes. The reception has a sign saying no prostitutes allowed but they seem to turn a blind eye to it. The hotel itself is ok. Noisy but then everywhere is. There is a tiny pool up on the 8th floor with a handfull of dirty beds around it. The staff in the restaurant were really unfriendly but the breakfast itself was ok.

This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed at. Literally did not get one wink of sleep as the noise from the street coupled with the constant ding of the elevator all night was enough for me to almost get up in the night and leave. Hot water did not work properly, small window above door was banging all night as it wasnt fitted properly, walls are paper thin- by the time I got to the breakfast which was a few stale bits of toast and a fruit salad that was covered in flies I decided to quickly pay and run! Never again.
