We visited The Terrace Coffee restaurant on the way to the provinces. Our driver recommended it and said that it was very affordable. We noticed that the sign was almost identical to 'Starbucks Coffee', which we thought was quite funny! We were impressed by the cleanliness of this restaurant. It is very new so everything is very clean, which is great and not always easy to find in Phnom Penh. They have a very extensive menu - pages of Khmer and Western dishes, with pictures to help with your choice. We ordered Khmer dishes - the noodles with beef was very nice. However, we were most impressed by their coffee. We had a hot latte, which was presented really beautifully and a cold mocha which tasted delicious! We were amused by the fact that there were 4 people taking our order! This is not something you see every day!!
They were having issues with their air conditioning, but tried to fix it for us, at it was very hot inside (the restaurant is surrounded by glass so it is warm without air conditioning). One of the other positives was the condition of their toilets. They were kept very clean (once again probably because they are still new), and they have a very quirky 'Amber Pur' air freshener stand that you can press as you walk into the toilet if you wish!!
Overall we would say that this is a very pleasant restaurant with good food and great coffee. It's also very clean and the staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. It is about 10 minutes outside of Phnom Penh city so you would have to be prepared to drive outside of the city area. We would definitely visit again!
