Deco is the first place I found in Phnom Penh that comes close to a decent restaurant in line with Western standards (apart from the fancy hotels like Sofitel & Raffles). The staff is well trained, friendly, helpful, fluent in English, attentive without being disruptive/annoying, and knows the menu. Although limited, the menu contains interesting dishes, and the food is well presented. As a starter, the lentils were super - some cumin and fresh flat leaf parsley clearly gave it a mediteranean/middle-eastern touch. The freshly made crab cakes were very good, and the infused mayonaise accompanied the dish very well. The mains were great as well: the hanging tender steak was perfectly cooked, and the french fries were very well done and nicely presented. My favorite dish of the night was the duck breast. It was cooked to perfection: pink and juicy in the middle with a crispy skin on top while it almost melted in your mouth - amazing. The plumsauce was great as well. Desert-wise, it was especially the sticky toffee that was good. Also tried the cheesecake, which wasnt bad but also not amazing. Overall for 3 persons we ended up paying just under 90usd, and this included 2 glasses of white wine and 1 bottle of red. It was worth every penny and I will be back for sure.
