“Great location and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Great location and service. Great views from the roof althought we did not see the royal palace illuminated as it is on the hotel's web page. The breakfast buffet was very good. The bed was very comfortable. The only bad thing was that the bath tub was broken.

Lovely, helpful staff and very friendly. Neat, clean rooms. Would highly recommend to anyone. Very central point in Phnom Penh for tourist attractions. Overlooks the river and Main Street. - good roof top bar.

Perfect location right next to the Royal Place and 1 min walk to the river. Hotel is new and clean, nice roof top pool, average buffet breakfast. Bathrooms are not very private as only use a mesh curtain so those traveling with friends be aware. Overall this is a great pick if you are willing to spend the money for a nice hotel.

We booked into the frangipani fine arts hotel (their sister hotel) down the road, however they were doing renovations so upon our arrival we were relocated to the royal palace hotel instead. The hotel is brand new and in a fantastic location right in the middle of town. Room was clean but on the smaller side and in true asian hotel room style, the window opened onto a brick wall only a few inches away. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was pretty good. Overall, a good find for a night or two!

Room Tip: ask for one at the front of the building if you want a view.

The Frangipani Royal Palace Hotel is located in one of the best parts of the city. It is near some great shops, restaurants and attractions and is just a short stroll from Riverside. The rooms are comfortable, although they do look like they have been finished really quickly and a little cheaply. This aside, the bed is really comfortable and offers a great night's sleep. Breakfast is standard buffet fare, but eggs are well cooked and fresh as... Check in and check out are quick and easy and the staff are friendly and professional.

At the end of my stay at a hotel, I always ask myself "Would I stay here again?" The answer is a definite yes. The Frangipani Royal Palace Hotel offers a great location, great value, friendly service and a comfortable rest.

a vey stylish hotel, only a few minutes walk to the hot spots of the city. generous breakfast (i only missed yoghurt) and extremely polite, friendly and helpful staff. my room was overlooiking the river and the walking street by it, plus the pagoda!
I will certainly book in it in my next visit to the city!

Staff tried very hard but on three separate occasions we waited for sandwiches in the Skybar for over 40 minutes and 15 minutes for a beer. On one occasion after waiting so long one of the meals were missing. Our room although it appeared lovely and well appointed smelt of "mouse" for the four days we were there. The potential is definitely there for this hotel but a lot of education is required for the keen but confused staff. I reported that the outside Spa on the verandah of our room was unable to be turned off and despite reporting was still going 3 days later. The rooftop pool is fabulous, but often with no one in attendance to provide drinks/food.
Central position is great as you can walk to all the restaurants and bars along the river.

Room Tip: Go and inspect the room before deciding to stay. If it smells bad don't bother. However the view...
