“Lovely little boutique hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

The rooms here are spacious, bathroom was styled well, bed was comfortable and huge amount of storage space.

The hotel pool is pretty big with space for loungers. The only slightly annoying thing is after the pool you have to walk back through the hotel and up the flights of stairs back into your room. A bit wet isn't that ideal.

The breakfast was one of the best for a while. A big selection to choose from.

There are many good eateries very close by 1 minute walk and more within 5-10mins. You can walk around at night and feel safe. The location was good for many of the sightseeing spots.

The staff are polite and friendly and will help you out with info. Very easy to communicate with them.
I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monument hotel. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly (especially Raabi), the rooms were large, generous and clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast every morning, was, by Asian standards, very good. Location was excellent, close to the river, markets and many restaurants, and on a smaller more quiet street so minimal street noise at night and the pool was a brilliant way to cool down after the hot and steamy days in phnom penh - $1 draught beers went down very very nicely!! Only minor complaints - TVs could be updated, WiFi reception was spotty, especially in my room, so could do with a few extra routers, and our room looked a little tired in some places, so a fresh coat of paint wouldn't go astray. But overall, a brilliant little boutique hotel, you really can't go wrong staying here!
PS - book through booking.com rather than the hotel and save yourself a few dollars :)

We had a fantastic stay at monument hotel in April this year. The place is really very good value, considering the comfort of the rooms with balcony and a very nice pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and were great in organising a sunset cruise on the river.
Breakfast was included, and was delicious! Try the Cambodian style omelette.
Nearby are two great restaurants: Chicky rotisserie and Nike's Pizza. Both worth checking out.
Location is handy for most things, though you will generally need a tuk tuk, which are very cheap.
Would recommend.

I stayed twice at the Monument Hotel during my Business trip in February 2015 - in total 6 nights.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They know your name and room number, are very attentive and remember that you have stayed with them before. On my second arrival I even got an upgrade.

The breakfast room is on the roof top. From there the view over the city is gorgeous. The hotel is situated in the centre of Phnom Penh but is still quite quiet.

As a resident of Phnom Penh due to construction in my apartment I needed to stay 2 days in a hotel. Friends recommended me Monument Hotel. I enjoyed my stay a lot. The staff is very friendly, I enjoyed the pool and cheap beer ($0,50). The standard room is not very big, but clean and provided with all you need. Also the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was super!!! A lot of choice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pancake, waffles, homemade jam and they make any kind of egg on the spot. Value for money!

The hotel was surrounded by walls and at a side street, therefore drivers had difficulty to locate it especially at night.
We stayed at the room on the ground floor because we had to leave at 6am the next morning. Even so, we confirmed that the room was well-equipped and clean.
We must highlight that the smiling staff were polite and helpful. Whenever there were clients in the reception area, they would stand by to handle requests. They proactively helped us to call the bus company to check if their shuttle bus would arrive on time to take us to the bus stop.
There was a small Russian restaurant next to Monument Hotel, it used to be a Russian embassy (a heritage), literally few steps away. For tourists who don't want to go too far for food may consider this little dining place.
