“Surprisingly Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

Stayed at a very large unit with a double bed and a wide living room. Stayed for 1 night and enjoyed it. Comfortable beds, aircond, television and hot shower. The location is by the river and very convenient to walk around to different pubs and eating place

Stayed February 2014, traveled with friends

Stayed 3 nights. The dungeon we stayed in was adequate, but nothing more. The room was dark, had a window though, but the window faces a hallway...!?
Cleanliness was fine. Hot water in the shower. TV seemed like something out of the 90's when we used antennas to get a signal. Fridge did not work!
Bed was comfortable, so we expected to get 3 good nights of sleep, however, there seems to be a kindergarten right next door. The kids come flooding in at 7 am in the morning and start screaming, shouting and fighting non stop throughout the morning/mid-day. Bring earplugs!
Staff in the reception however were all very kind.
Great location, close to riverfront and royal palace.

Room Tip: Opt for rooms furthest away from the kindergarden.

Decent place in a great location. Good value for money. Staff is nice and helpful. Place has its own drivers with fairly decent prices. AC is cold, shower rarely gets hot, but warm enough. Rooms are quite small. They have a window, but it goes into the hallway. Fairly clean. Towels were drenched in some sort of perfumed fabric softener. Espresso was quite bad. All in all, a cheap, central place. It's fine.

Had pre-paid online on a discount offer flight/accomm with AirAsia, and it was cheap, but below standard in many respects.
Room: tv locked on one channel at low volume; no remote, staff said 'it's like that'; wardrobe door hanging off one hinge; toilet cistern lid missing (mosquito farm!); no room safe; wifi was 'only just' showing 8% strength in my room; aircon worked, but noisy; no quilt/duvet - instead a mattress protector, complete with elastic, sandwiched between two sheets.
My visits to Cambodia are into double figures, and this place surprised me, the most indifferent and inattentive staff; gave up waiting for breakfast and went elsewhere. Charged US$1 for a 250ml water as seems after day 1 no free water in your room.
Night-time - and this happened each night, dogs howling in the alley next to the hotel.
Put it down to experience, but this is well below anywhere I've booked previously thru AA.

Room Tip: I don't know if there are any.

I stayed here for 2 nights and while the hotel is Ok and rooms are quite large and clean for the price the service and staff were only average.
The location is a back from the river a bit down a side street but it’s only a short walk and there are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
It is located very close to the Royal place so if that is what you want to see it’s an OK spot to be.
I rate this place as only barely adequate and I think you could find a nicer and better located hotel along the PP river front for similar money..... and the breakfast was very ordinary
Personally I will not be staying here again because the hotel has some policies displayed in the foyer that are not shown on the web site or the booking site I use and therefore you are not aware of these unusual “policies” until you get to check in…..I thought this was quite deceptive, single guys should consider another hotel, don’t say I didn’t warn you, message me if you want details.
Also be aware they the hotel next door is owned by the same people.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, the start of our trip in Cambodia. All we needed was a clean room, bed, shower and a roof. That's what we got. It was cheap and perfect for our needs. Downstairs they have a limited selection of drinks and food, just enough for a light breakfast and coffee or a beer. Nothing to complain about here.

We arrived to the hotel and up to our room. Used to stairs but these ones were steep and narrow. Room was huge and clean enough but even in broad daylight you need a light on...no light in room..total cave! Next morning went down for breakfast (included in room) and the guy sitting at reception showed me a small pink slip with basic choices...picked an omelette and toast and waited 40 mins..asked 7 times if omelette was coming and got a yes every time and each time he went back to his computer...finally I got up to leave and he said just 10 more minutes? Checked out shortly after. We could have handled the room for 2 days if the staff had seemed remotely helpful..but not so!
