“Cause good, food not good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2012

Found the service to be ok, but these women are being trained so understandable. However the food was pretty poor, especially when compared with all the other great food on offer in Phnom Penh. We had fish and chips, both were way overcooked, the chips 'shattered' when a fork was put in them and the batter on the fish was hard. The burger was not up to much either, the bun tasted a bit stale, the pattie was tasteless and too much dressing had been applied so that it went everywhere when you tried eating it. Has potential, but much more work / training to be done.

very friendly waitresses, great food (mostly western). by eating there you allow ex-prostitutes to earn money by working in a proper business.

“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

I spent a lunch and an afternoon at Sugar and Spice, sipping coffee, eating battered fish and chips, and using their free Wi-fi for studying. It's a very quiet, calm environment with comfy couch-type seating and really nice staff. The menu has a good selection of food and decent prices ($3-5) and really nice drinks, as well as bakery treats. The staff spoke very good English, which is always a plus. Overall, a great lunch spot - and supporting Daughters, to boot.

“Some Entrees OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2011

Went for lunch today with three others. Two had cheeseburgers with fries which were quite good but small. One had Spicy Chicken with fries. Chicken and fries deep-fried but good. I had pork & mango crepe. It was OK if you like lots of mango and very little pork! The pork was overcooked, dry, and tough. My side vegetable was nothing to rave about. I wouldn't order this again. Their menu is limited for lunch or dinner and the prices a bit excessive compared to other many nearby western food restaurants. It's for a good cause but I am wondering it that is an adequate reason to be a bit sparse with the food and with elevated prices when there are countless other places to eat in the area.

“Delicious food that supports a good cause”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011 via mobile

NGO run cafe located above the Daughters of Cambodia visitor centre. Delicious food including the best fish n chips in town - trust me, I've tried a lot of fish n chips around Phnom Penh and Sugar and Spice puts the rest to shame - including Fish Cafe and FCC.
