An local partner brought 8 of us to dinner at this restaurant which specializes in Thai and Cambodian food. I think the menu is more Thai than Cambodian.
Restaurant is large and has 3 levels. There is an air-conditioned bar and outdoor seating on the ground floor. Upstairs consist of regular dining tables, rooms with traditional floor seating, and private dining room. The air-conditioning was refreshing cold. Decor must have been elagant when the place first opened, but is now rather tired. The water feature wall is just a dry dusty wall now.
Servings were generous and prices as just below those of that in a 4-star hotel. Food was OK. And then, a small roach ran across my table, which I half-crushed with my glass. If this was a road-side stall, I may have expected and tolerated cockroaches. But, with the prices charged, I had expected better. Good news is that no one from the group had an upset stomach from the meal.
