this local restaurant is just across the road from Lebiz Hotel.
the food is local Cambodian, delicious and very reasonably priced compared to restaurants on the riverwalk. The menu is in english as well with photos of the dishes and what you see is exactly what you get, except its the real thing that is served. We walked in without appointment and decided to use the non smoking room, you cannot miss it-its got the international non smoking sign on the door tothis room. The aircon is really effective-cool. We ate there 2x (dont usually do this in any city) and on the second time there were 7 of us so we ordered lots of dishes-the tunghoon and crab is stand out, actually all the cambodian dishes were of very high standard, in one word delicious. Sorry no pizzas or western dishes. We always make it a point to eat local whereever we travel anywhere.
The service is excellent and so curteous, waiters bend backwards to atend to customers-almost one to one. Just in case you think the dinner is finished, out came the complimentary fruits of the day-really sweet pineapple and water mellon.
The bill is a fraction of what we pay in hometown Adelaide.
Just in case we though we had discovered the perfect local restaurant in downtown Phnom Penh we turned around to get up to go after ay the miniscule price for a great dinner, we looked up and there before us so many caucasians enjoying themselves like us. So it is not an unknown restaurant to westerners. Its just a restaurant people go to enjoy and forgot to write their review in the trip advisor. We hought we will hence put the record straight from today and call others to enjoy this great local restaurant like we did. Enjoy-dont forget they also have the best bread rolls with stuffings, all in ultra hygienic conditions that the locals had been enjoying all these years.
