“Expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

This was the most expensive meal I had in Phnom Penh. It cost around $50 for me and one other friend without ordering any wine to go along with my main course. The menu is small and interesting, unfortunately, the food didn't come anywhere close to greatness. None of it was bad either, it was just so so.

“Armand's continues to excel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Our first visit to Armand's this year was very quiet, probably due to its proximity to ongoing demonstrations against the government at the nearby "Freedom Park." However, we were warmly greeted as usual and had our choice of tables for a change. Skipping starters, we both ordered from the variety of steaks and accompanied them with glasses of the house wine. As always, the food are wine were excellent.

“High expectations”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Interesting place, but our tournedos Rossini was average (3 people) while the foie gras was good.
Armand was bored to look around and my t bone was overcooked.
As i said, due to the rating and the comments we had higher expectations than the overall average experience and not cheap we had.

“very French”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

Most French eateries in Cambodia have left me disappointed over the years, but not Armand's. Perhaps it's because he limits his menu to chalk board offerings -- but all classics, like onion soup gratinee, tournedos Rossini, and a veritable slab of foie gras that is well worth ordering. Steaks are a strong point here, but equally duck magret, lentils. Homey old world dark colours equally reminiscent of France juxtaposed with old American steak house fine dining, but without the flocked wallpaper. No credit cards, but the wine list is very reasonable. We'll go back! GlobetrottingGourmet

“Perfect dinner in Phnom Penh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

From reading the trip advisor reviews on this restaurant, my partner and I felt a trip here was necessary as we are both big lovers of steak and we were not disappointed! The whole evening was perfect, lovely staff, great atmosphere and amazing food! We chose not to order a starter as we wanted to save ourselves for the steaks.. Bread was served and then complimentary bruschetta for us to share which was just devine! Then the steaks came and we could not fault them at all, the meat was great and it was cooked to perfection, would defiantly come back here for another steak! The price was good however we are from London, but for Phnom Penh it was quite expensive, I had chateaubriand which was €21. We were very happy customers and would recommend this place to all!!
