Owner description: The Flicks Community Movie Houses are the really unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes. The Flicks are the ONLY legit movie houses in town also, fully approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Cambodian Department of Cinema. The Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary movie house from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 30 people. The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 20 seats movie room. The Flicks 3 is the latest 30-seats venue on Street 258, which also features a restaurant and guesthouse. Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 Per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn!

Best place to relax with a good movie either when it is raining or when its hot -aircon! Well-chosen films and a good atmosphere.

All in all a lovely place!

“Great experience”

We went to see The Killing Fields here one afternoon. It's a really great little movie house with very friendly staff. Good selection of local restaurants near by as well.

“Watching great films on huge, comfy cushions - perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

I spent my first Friday evening at the Flicks 9.5 months ago and have made plenty of return visits. The setting is amazing - huge comfy cushions to make you relax and feel like you're in a big living room - none of these fold up, hard chairs you get in in big cinemas. The range of films they play is great - from some of the latest Oscar winning films to some really quirky and foreign movies I'd never normally think to watch but have really enjoyed. Ramon, the owner, is a really fun character and the place is always staffed by smiling volunteers with interesting traveling tales! Will definitely miss this place when I'm back home for the summer!

$3.50 for a whole day of movies in a snuggey auditorium, a perfect hangover hangout. Well done The Flicks!

“Such a good atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Love this place!
This is a relaxed, low-key hang-out with great movies, friendly staff and large glasses of wine. I've spent numerous hours here, watching all kinds of movies (foreign, documentary, classic etc). The air-con is lovely, the staff will happily order food for you, and the couches and futons are comfy.
The tickets cost $3.50 PER DAY- making it very easy to spend a whole afternoon/evening there.
