Nice staff here. Chic design but looking a bit tired now. Doors u can notice a big gap at bottom & they seem warped. Shower leaked into main bathroom & had to use all towels to mop it up, not nice. With white walls they look tired very quickly & hotel looks a bit shabby. We had a real 'experience' re: goong in Tuk tuk with hotel driver. Lovely lovely young guy, didn't seem to have been driving long? (I'm sure I could drive a Tuk tuk better, even in Cambodia!) and warn you now the roads are dodgy at the best of times but the road to killing fields is a venture into another land shall we say. If you don't want to have to get out & push the Tuk tuk, take a taxi car & not Tuk tuk. We got stuck twice in flooded pot holes & u had to get out into ankle high deep mud so we could carry on. Also the road out here is not finished so its a very very dusty dirt track with massive trucks on it, didn't feel safe. Then on the final stretch we ran out of petr & had to give 2 USD to the driver so we had to get home.
One of the best experiences of our trip but if you don't like the sound of the above, simply take a taxi car! P.s the Tuk tuk driver we hired for half a day & was only 15 USD, bargain!

We were really pleased that after a long journey from Siemreap we were welcomed with giant, plush beds and fluffy pillows. Very modern and hipster design suitable for young people, but my room didn't have proper blinds for the see-thru bath.So basically from certain angles you could see your friend/partner taking a crap! Compared with our other friends apparently only our rooms didnt have blinds for the bathroom.LOL.Very sexy setup for couples if you know what I mean.

Otherwise everything was a-OK.Had really good sleep there.Location not far from Central Market but away from hustle and bustle, had to walk through dodgy alleys and roads to find decent halal meals, but there is a hawker centre nearby and a bakery. About 5 minutes away from the Waterfront but plenty of tuktuks outside hotel.

Breakfast didnt have variety and we were confused that we had only one complimentary breakfast,so the other person in the room had to pay USD5 for crappy toast and eggs.

Nevertheless its a good place to curl up in bed, very cosy.

Copied the title from a review below as I agree that this is hardly even a 3-star hotel. The photos give the impression that it is chic, but it isn't; it's very basic. However, it is clean and has a good Internet connection and a satisfactory breakfast, so not a bad choice when the price is right.

Stayed here for two nights. Although it is getting old, the service and facilities are still excellent for its price.

The staff is friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel is superb.

Location is good but access to this hotel could be a problem as it is located on a busy street near the city centre.

Free wifi is provided.

I had only stayed for 3 days/2 nights in Phnom Penh but if I had stayed longer I would chose to stay at the Lebiz Hotel and Library.
Located on street 128, it's only a few minutes walking distance from the central market and from there a short distance to the backpacker area and riverside area, where all the restaurants, shops and bars are located.
The Lebiz hotel and Library though centrally located, is a quiet escape from the hectic city,
The rooms are specious, clean and have everything you need- powerful A/C, a quiet and efficient ceiling fan, super comfortable bed, flat screen tv, great shower and a mini bar with water (and for you to keep food/drinks cold). The room was the exact relaxing stop I needed at the end of hot, sweaty and long days of sightseeing.
You can ask for a quiet room or select one of the higher floors and you can't hear anything from the street. It's great.
The hotel offers breakfast in reasonable hours- the breakfast is good and helps start the day here right. They offer a selection of fresh juices and fruit shakes, coffee and tea, bread and pastries, eggs made to order, yogurt and fresh fruit. It's more than I've seen in other local small hotels.
The staff are all very nice and pleasant, all speak English well, and are very helpful with anything you need- will help you find places around the city, make recommendations, organize and confirm tour bookings, help you explains things to local tuktuk drivers, and all with a smile on their face.
The hotel price is more than reasonable for what it offers and I really felt like I got my money's worth!
I must admit I very much enjoyed my stay and would probably stay here again if I get a chance to visit Phnom Penh in the future. I recommend this hotel for solo travelers, as well a couples as it's very quiet, clean and comfortable.
Enjoy your stay!!

This is at best a try hard three star hotel. Rooms were small and basic. No mini bar, just a fridge that could not cool down a bottle of water after twelve hours. There is no hot water in the mornings, so hope you enjoy cold showers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel tuk tuk driver was very honest and at one point even let us run a tab.

Knowing what we know now, we could have stayed somewhere better, for a lesser price.

Have included some photos of the dilapidated and mould ridden bathroom.

Lebiz hotel is in a great location, close to all the main restaurants.
The hotel is located on a busy main street and backs onto a large vacant block that is used to store items from neighbouring properties like a workshop etc.

Once you walk into the hotel the lobby is crisp white and a quite relief from the busy street.
The staff are very accommodating and will complete tasks, you need to speak clearly, however if you make yourself clear they will eventually understand.
The manger is French and extremely knowledgeable, he is a good reference point if you need advice or any details for the city.

The rooms are clean and well maintained, I requested a quite room at the rear of the hotel and it was perfect. Room 202

Breakfast was good.

The only thing I could pick out was the cutlery, very slim and round and hard to hold onto, making it difficult to eat.

The staff were great, they set up my phone with a new local sim and were very keen to help.
I loved this hotel and would definitely stay there again if I was in Phnom Penh.
