“A good city centre hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

A comfortable, relaxing hotel in a good position for visiting the sights.
Our welcome with drink and cold towel and a quick tour en route to our room was a nice touch.
We enjoyed the pool area and breakfast by the pool and our daughter and partner enjoyed their massage. We were very pleased with the driver the hotel arranged to take us to visit S-21(Tuol Sleng genocide museum) and the "Killing Fields". In all a good choice of hotel.

Room Tip: We had a standard room and our balcony was not very good. Our daughter who travelled with us had a m...

A very central location but a secluded area makes this a great place from which to explore Phnom Penh. You're able to step inside and forget about the city as you relax by the pool or in the lovely rooms.

Good value for money - the food is excellent and the rooms are large, well-appointed and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

Staff are very helpful too, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

Great position in the city.Quiet location and beautifully converted buildings ,lovely gardens and greenery everywhere.Lots of places to sit quietly without having to be around the pool.Great breakfast and fine rooftop restaurant.Good value for the high quality of the place.A few silly quirky design features in room like bathroom lights illuminating rest of bedroom and a few concretey things I stubbed my toe on, but not a big deal.
Staff very attentive and the boys on the desk were particularly helpful sorting a 'minor' issue when 2 of the plonkers in our party realised they had left passports in Siem Reap.
Overall highly recommended.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. It seemed to be located in a decent area. The resort itself is beautiful and tranquil as you walk around. The pool was gorgeous and had cabanas to relax in. The only CONS we would say is that the travel desk is operated by the door-boys and their english is poor and their knowledge limited. In addition, I ordered the tuna steak and was given a white fish, which what looked to be flake. I was told it was tuna shark. it wasn't a big issue but thought it would be worth mentioning. Definitely recommend staying here.

This is a really comfortable and clean hotel. The relaxing poolside area and bar make for a wonderful afternoon to chill out afters seeing the sights in and around Phnom Penh. We were without hot water for three days and apart form apologies from the staff there was little other compensation. Fortunately the weather was warm so a cold shower was not that unwelcome! Breakfast is fantastic. Lots of fresh fruit and omelettes made to order. Great coffee too! Excellent location as hotels was within walking distance to restaurants on the river (try the Prawn Shots at the FCC!) or a short tuk tuk ride ($2 US). Take lots of small US currency for tips and tuk tuk rides to the Russian or Central Markets. The Central Markets are quite spacious and a great place to buy silver jewellery and trinkets.

Dear Guest, many thanks for your kind review. We have indeed noticed that the pressure of hot water is fluctuating, particularly when many people take their shower at the same time. We are currently working on the issue and changed the pumps twice. Some tricky little issue that is quite difficult to solve I must say... Cheers, Alexis

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Plantation, with some caveats.
The pros: The courtyard and pool areas are lovely and very well decorated. Enjoyed a massage at the spa. Breakfast is very nice with fresh omelettes cooked on the spot and fruit. Had dinner at the restaurant one night and food was very good and well presented. The room was very clean and spacious.

The cons: the plumbing had some problems. Water in the shower went from hot to cold without control, and one night I had no water in the tap for 1 hour or so. There were some gurgling sounds in the evening. Another thing: my room was on the second floor and was facing the parking on the back. Rooms with view on the pool have a little balcony and are definitely better.

Room Tip: Ask for a view on the pool or courtyard.

Absolutely comfortable and well-located place to spend a vacation at. The hotel stands very close to a wide array of restaurants and pubs, along with several other main attractions. I find the Hotel unique and remarkable, owing to its charming courtyard and natural surroundings (It’s not really a huge concrete structure). The staffs and other executive well versed in English and more than willing to help, even at the wee hours of night. Nice rooms, well-maintained bathrooms, great food and homely ambience. And yes, check out the Happy hours at the bar. They offer some delicious snacks. Well, it might get a bit noisy if the windows are kept open m but that’s just because of the Hotel’s central location amidst the city heart.
