“Beautiful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

My husband and I chose this hotel reading the reviews in Tripadvisor and were not dissapointed. Its a good place to relax after a city tour or as a break after hectic temple tours in Siem Reap. Very efficient and friendly staff. Well planned cozy rooms and surroundings. Sitting areas surrounding the swimming pool are luxurious. In spite of being a top-end hotel, it gives you a feel of comfort and coziness with personal touch. Amazing location - just 5 mins walk from the riverfront and right opposite to Royal Palace. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and loved every minute of it. The location is perfect for all tourist attractions, easy to walk or catch at tuk tuk. The staff were amazing, very welcoming and helpful. Our room, over looking the pool was lovely and very comfortable. Will definitely stay there again when we come back to Cambodia.

Room Tip: Any room is fantastic we think!

In my second stay, I returned as promised, everything was perfect again.
The most valuable still the quiet patio far from the city noises outside, perfect to relax in the swimming pool or also to have a more than decent breakfast. Great value for money and great customer service,

Once you are within the walls of this hotel, you will not feel that you are still in busy Phnom Penh. The builder and designer have done an excellent job here. This is a beautiful quiet place to return to after a day of sightseeing and shopping. There is a swimming pool right in the centre - good for relaxing swim in the morning or evening. You could dine right beside the pool after a swim. The rooms and facilities are first class. A little on the expensive side but value for money.

THe Plantation is in a wonderful location, behind the palace, with great rooms, great staff and a lovely pool side location for breakfast. Very relaxing atmosphere, nicely designed and very much a family place for visitors to enjoy when not out in the bussle of the city.

I had an amazing experience in this hotel and I could not compliment the staff enough. The hotel is very well located, very close to the National Museum and to shops and restaurants. The building itself is beautiful, a restored 1930's construction, and the rooms are stylish and cosy, although simple, which is a great thing in a humid city like PP. The hotel has two pools, one bar, one spa and a very good restaurant. But, the best thing about this place was the service!!!! The kindest people I met in Cambodia so far. Not only kind, the service was also very efficient. The concierge did a great work helping us organize the rest of our trip to Cambodia, and booked restaurants and tours for us. But the best thing was the fact that I forgot a ring in the hotel, when going to Kep, and after arriving back for a last night in PP, the staff, without me asking - I have not realized I had left my ring there - has put it in a safety box for me, so they could hand me when we arrived back. That's a real luxury!!!

It was my first time in Cambodia, in the week before Xmas. After spending 5 days in the bush in Mondulkiri near the Vietnamese border, my short stay (1 night) in this hotel before heading back to Belgium was very relaxing. After a nice welcoming drink, I got to my room, near the pool. The interior design of the room was very south-east Asian style, and gave a good relaxing feeling. The restaurant is nicely placed around the central court yard, and the food was served quickly and efficiently, and tasted very good. I didn't use the pool, but instead did a nice evening stroll around the royal palace and to the nearby Mekong river. It is all within a couple of minutes, and very safe. I will definitely come again at my next trip to Cambodia!
