A very nice cider is served at Paddy Rice. Three LCD's over the bar make for good sport viewing. food is good

“dont often eat hear”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

the food is good .i dont go hear so often because i tend to like lower prices and more food ,but for the traveller its probably not a bad spot, with a chance to catch up on the sport on the big screen clean toilets etc.

“Generic, nothing bar, with little atmosphere, despite the location.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

The place just seems to have no soul. No warmth. And then when the food can be so-so for the price and the cocktails lack punch, there just seems no reason to be there.

“24hr bar with food until 2am”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

It's a nice open building in prime position, right on the river. Good for sports and they sometimes have music too.

I felt happy enough having the odd drink there but was disappointed by the food on the couple of occasions I tried it. They have weird policies like not giving you butter with your toast (they smear on a few molecules of butter for you in the kitchen).

Go there for a drink if they have the music/football on but eat somewhere else.

“Lacking smiles”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We had lunch at Paddy Rice as it looked like a nice setup. The food was ok but fairly ordinary despite the prices being higher than other places on the riverside. However the service really lets it down, it was slow and all the staff appear not to know how to smile, even our children asked us why our waitress was sad!
