Description: Malis is a landmark restaurant that has long enjoyed a reputation for pushing the boundaries of fusion food with traditional, original and new age Cambodian cuisine. With capacious seating and four VIP rooms set in a courtyard around a fountain, it is undeniably the capital's premier gourmet dining experience. Its busy kitchen is home to Luu Meng, Cambodia's only masterchef, whose artfully prepared dishes have graced tables around the world.

“food experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

me and my husband went to Malis our last day at PP. We were looking to try the traditional khmer food in a modern key and was exactly what we found! Good foods (the amok fish was super) at the reasonable prices. Only one thing not really good for a restaurant at this level: the service (the lady at our table in general was not particulary kind, i.e. when I put on the finished dish the dirty fork she put it again on the table, I ask her kindly to change it and she did it annoyed). I suggest it for the people looking for a food experience.

“Delivers what it promises”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Even if the chef seems to willing to behave like a western star chef, and the menu is a printed book with beautiful images, it is no pure show: this restaurant delivers good service and wonderful cuisine, in a fascinating place. Absolutely recommended, expect for the price which is very high (for Cambodia). We tasted several dishes from menu: they were absolutely not trivial, even if deeply based on Khmer cuisine, perfectly done and well presented (I still remember the fried crab with kompot pepper sauce). They have also a reasonable wine list. Ask to dine in the closed garden!

“Superb cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

A group of us ate at this restaurant recently. The food was amazing (especially the starters) and the service superb. In addition we found the prices to be amazingly reasonable.

“Delightful setting and mouth watering food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled into this place having gotten 'lost' looking for the Lost Room. I am glad we did get lost as this is a gem of a place that serves a selection of Cambodian and fusion dishes. We tried the minted scallops and the garlic prawns which were both delicious. I couldn't recommend this place more strongly.
