4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

i enjoyed my stay there a lot and came back again a year later. close to the lucky market ( mall ) . just a moto ride away to the river. great barber around the corner, good foot rub across the street. a lil mall and fast food right next door. i booked trips all over from there. they drove me to sihanookville and angkor watt. not far from s-21 and the killing fields. i liked my room, it was very big and i thought it was a good value. i enjoyed the palm wine and the beef with spicy dish they serve there. room service is great. it is a good location there and the staff is very nice and look out for you. m'oney is a really good guy and a safe driver for out of town trips. i have stayed in fancier hotels in phnom penh , with not that great locations. i enjoyed hanging out there a bit , but mostly just slept there. it is good for someone who wants to stay for a week or more and i feel safe in there. it is fair and if you do not like the room , they can change it or go up a little. no biggie ... there everything is reasonable. tip the staff they work hard to make sure you have a good stay. as far as the other reviews , you get what you pay for and this place is very good for the numbers. it is i little old but come on this is the city near the center not a fancy resort. i gave out lots of cards, so i say it is good. i nice place for people to go and relax bring your friends too. have fun . enjoy noah in n.y.c. u.s.a.

Room Tip: some are arranged one way and others another choose the one that suits you best. well laid out . the...

Stayed here in August for a week. Found out that If you pay directly at the desk they offered a 10% discount. Stayed in 3 different rooms all on the Monivong side (because we took side trips. e.g. Siem Reap & Angkor Wat). These rooms look out on the street and the apartments across the way and are great for people watching. No hot water at the sink but plenty in the shower. Aircon kept things slightly frosty the way I like it. Breakfast was ordinary until I discovered you can ask the waitress to have the chef cook you some eggs any way you like them. They need to provide some cream/milk for the very strong coffee though. All they had was a sweet syrupy concoction (I wound up drinking tea instead). A $2 tuk-tuk ride gets you to the river pronto. While I was there they were remodeling the lobby and working on upgrades to the rooms. Really like the feel of the rooms, beds comfy, pillows not too soft. Beware that on floor 5 the wifi is weak to non-existant. The staff at the front desk were obliging, changing large bills when needed and verifying bus trip pickups. I think they're really working on making this a great little hotel in the near future. I would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: The lower floors have better wifi reception.

Reasonable hotel for a very reasonable price. Not the best in Phnom Penh, but then it doesn't try tobe. The Main thing is that it is clean and comfortable.
Very handy location near the Central market and the Sorya bus station, less than two minute walk.
Breakfast is included in the room rate, mostly Asian fare buffet.
The hotel has just undergone a refurbishment, so there are lots of shiny new surfaces.
Staff here are always very helpful and very accommodating with advice.
It is only a US $2 tuk tuk ride to the riverfront with its abundance of restaurants. Grab a tuk tuk from out front of the hotel.
When in Phnom Penh I will always stay here.

How to begin with it? We booked a duble bed room for 4 nights, and it was a terrible mistake! What you can see on the webpage of the hotel and what you can see in real life are two different things! There is no resemblance at all. It is a scam!
- our room and the hotel was stinky
- the airco. is an old type, it was so noisy, so it was impossible to sleep ( this is the same in every room)
- I drank from the "mineral water" tank at breakfast and I got a diarrhea
- the room was clean, but so old, so it seemed dirty and it is not a good feeling
- the location is okay, but there are a lot of hotels at the riverside
I have been travelling in Asia 6 months ago, and it was the worst hotel for 25 dollars. I have never booked a hotel in advance, it was a present for me, .., do not go there!
Some tips:
- The riverside is in 5 minutes, do not pay for the yuk-tuk
- Be prepared: in Cambodia everybody is trying to take advantage of you. The tuk - tuk drivers will say to you a double price , so you must bargain.
- You should keep 1-2 dollars in your pocket, because sometimes they "cannot" return change,.. it is an average situation
- you can spare money if you walk to the Tuol sleng or the russian market - these are in walking distance
- always count your money when you pay - sometimes they return 5- 6 dollars less after shoping,..
- dont pay for a service in advance for tuktuk drivers!!!!!

Hotel lobby was under renovation & location was great. Located near the Central market & shopping center area. Overall, rated 4 Star because of the affordable price & nice BF provided for the hotel guest. Best of all, KFC restaurant was just located beside the hotel lobby area.

Room - Clean & spacious
Staffs - Friendly & helpful
Location - Great

I cannot believe some of the negative comments posted on Ta;about this Hotel. One intellectual individual stated that "Asia hotel is expensive. At 25usd + buffet breakfast + toothbrush +soap?. AWake up!!. I travel to seasia 1/ 2 times a year, stay in Hotels from 1/5 star; this Hotel is an absolute bargain.People who: enter a Hotel of this price range . What do they expect SHANGRI LA luxury@.these prices. I always enjoy coming back here every 2 yrs apart.Sam and all his staff always remember me.They are always more than pleasant enough to me.As far as this Hotel being connected to a brothel. I would take that comment as slanderous + with a grain of salt.! The previous night to staying here I stayed @ the first Hotel @ HCMC. Next week I'll be staying @ park plaza + aloft hotel @ Bangkok. So I'm. not just a budget hotel stayer.

Hotel location is great since it is near the Central Market and it is only along one of the main boulevard of the city
Their alleys and corridors were clean and neat. (not to mention that it is also bare and simple)
There is a KFC just down stairs.
Buffet breakfast are also good and sumptuous enough.
You may also purchase bus tickets or tours going nearby provinces and to Ho Chi Minh.
The room was big enough and the beds are fluffy and big.
The room's comfort room is a bit old, you can see it from the tiles and the make up of the bathroom.
I'm not impressed tough with the balcony as the balcony door is steel and gets really hot during daytime.
The air-conditioner cools the room longer than the usual.
They have tile flooring so if you like to have carpeted rooms then you might not like here.
We got cheap rooms so I guess the service just compensates for the price or exceeds to that.
