Was better this time,,was full when I arrived,,a convention it seems,a lot of Chinese and Khmer were staying..got a room next day..the beds are soft and rooms clean,Internet works fine in some rooms but not all,,stay away from the lift it is loud..front desk girl is still pushing for tours and taxis but she's helpful when there's a problem, her English is good,,there's safety boxes,,don't know what to think about them though, cos the night porter always seems asleep ,,,,,even got my own key 1time..as I said before it is a bit out of the way,the tuks always quote 3 dollars,,take a motodop for a dollar but make sure he knows we're your going cos he will say yes then stop down the road and ask you again,I've been caught a few times like this ,spent 25 minutes on one for a 5 minute journey,I can laugh now,not then when it was raining..no nightlife around here so if younger it probably not for you, suits me as its quiet....overall it's good for the price...

Stayed at Town View1 many times on trips to Phnom Penh. I like it because for around $15/night I get a clean room with hot water and air-con, tv and wifi. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful, esp Vanna at the front desk. It's away from the noise and bustle of the riverside area and close enough to be in walking distances to places like Lucky Supermarket, some good breakfast places and restaurants. Yes the Internet might be slow or even non existent at times and the breakfast at the hotel is not great but if you need things to be perfect you need to pay more than $15/night.

the rooms are ok,,small but clean..yes the lift is noisy and as i had the room across from it on the 1st floor it was bad,,7.00am a group of Chinese tourists heading out 3 mornings in a row, loud.had a problem with my aircon and shower ,kept going off, both together, had to phone down to get them to switch the aircon on(showers connected to the same power) .tried to explain that there was a problem with the electric,,but alas ,, the young girl with the nice smile couldn't understand what i was saying, got my tuk driver to speak to her,,he should ave been working at reception, her English is not very good ,, tried to get a safety box from her ,, no luck,,then asked if i wanted to complain,,crazy..the normal lady at the desk sorted it for me..she as usual kept asking if i wanted a tour or taxi booked,,her commission is very high,,avoid this..the door staff are very friendly,,i even had the tall skinny one take me on his bike to the diner,,for a dollar of coarse...the tuk drivers are skilled in English, the bike drivers mostly are not..always want 3 dollars the tuks..if on your own walk and hail a moto driver,,show him a card of were you want go,,1 dollar...the hotel is 15$ a night..was there 5 nights feb and 5 nights march,,in march there was work being done to some rooms,8.15 the drills started and the hammering,,no warning or apology..overall the hotel is so so ,,dont know if i will stay here again,,after 5 times it seems it has went down abit,,

Room Tip: awaay from the lifts.

I stayed in this hotel for 8 days in February this year. The rooms are clean, as is the bedding. The wet room is hit and miss, sometimes the shower worked, sometimes not. The internet access was free when I was there, and the pc's were situated in the lobby downstairs. only 2 out of 3 worked. There is no AC in the lobby, so it was about 40 degrees if you were trying to use the computers! The second night I was there, we got hardly any sleep because of the noise made by a group of guests going up and down in the lifts, and running and shouting in the corridors.I went down to complain at 3.am, but was unable to get the night clerk to do anything about it, he spoke no English, and had been asleep on the sofa in the lobby! Glad he could sleep, we couldnt. One member of the reception staff was lovely, even though she spoke no English, her lovely smile went a long way. The rest of the staff were indifferent, and bordered on rude. The door man was sweet and helpful. A friend who spoke Khmer came back to the hotel with me that night, and was able to get my shower mended, and an apology for the noise of the night before. Sad to say, it had been a party of English students who had celebrated too much. The television has cable channels, there is a small fridge in each room, so it was good value for money. The air conditioning in my room was excellent. I just found the atmosphere of the hotel unfriendly and grudging.Would I stay there again? Despite the cleanliness and good value, probably not. I found it rather a depressing place.

Room Tip: Rooms at either end of the corridors are quieter. The lift is in operation all night, and is noisy.

The hotel has 2 branches. I stayed in town view. ( there is another nearby named "TOWN VIEW 2)The hotel is conveniently located to many tourist attraction . This hotel is a 2 star .It is worth the money . The room rates starts from USD 15 onwards. Many of the tuk tuk drivers knows this hote. The is a 24 hour free internet( at the lobby ) and cable T.V in room . The hotel has its own restaurant in the fifth storey. I dint get a chance to taste the food due my schedule.Ther are many other multi cusine restaurants near by to cater to any needs. The restaurants have free wi-fi . Ther is always tuk tuk available in front of the hotel. Most of them speak english . You can get their mobile numbers and they wil be available to you when ever you call them . The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the ambience and service good.

We stayed at the Townview II in Phnom Penh for several nights. It's tucked away in the middle of a small side street close to the Orussey Market. Overall, this was a very good choice. Clean, spacious rooms with a good AC, TV and bathroom with hot water. The hotel is quiet, well-kept and has nice decor. The staff is friendly and helpful. No extras such as a pool, gym or any of that crap, but so what. We only regret not having tried the restaurant on the last floor. And for the money ($20/night), you can't beat it with a stick.

this hotel was recommended by my tuk driver, normaly this would be a no no but this driver i have used for over 2 years so he didnt do the commision bit..anyway,the hotel is clean and rooms i found spotless..yes the girl on the desk does keep on about tours and such but a polite no thanks works..not close enough to the waterfront or central market or soriya to walk..liked the bathroom and a soft bed for a change.small room but cable tv..paid $15 a night yet on their site its $20..it isnt close to much so its always a tuk or moto,,tuks wont move here for less than $2 and didnt find any motos outside which is my normal mode of transport $1 .cleaner than most and looks newer but a little of the beaten track but not to far..
