“Very near Royal Palace and National Musuem.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012 via mobile

There's construction going on next door and they promptly start work at 7am+ daily. The construction noise is a spoiler for this small hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor and there's no lift. The room is spacious, with WIFI, LCD TV, DVD player, mini fridge, hair dryer and 2 bottles of complimentary water daily. The toilet has glass panels by the mirror to allow natural light to enter, but there's no privacy as residents opposite can look in! Please bring something to cover up or request the staff to help. Although the room is rather old, it has everything. WIFI is not very stable and mosquitoes can be a huge problem! The room rate includes breakfast, but the variety is limited & boring. The swimming pool is quite small, but just nice to chill and enjoy cocktails. The staff are nice and helpful. We walked about 5-10 mins to National Museum and Royal Palace. As they are closed from 11-2pm, we walked back to our room to rest. Very convenient location. We have seen rats running around the back gate, so I think there may be rat problems in those rooms at ground level.

STayed 4 nights. 2 in the cheapest room, which was good, then upgraded to the garden rooms, which are down by the pool.I was late for breakfast the first morning, but they still accomodated me, as well as throwing in an extra omellette for no extra cost- well that sold me .service by the staff was 2nd to none. Pool was great, which have small bungalows to sit in during the day. location great. I had a sneak peek at the private pool rooms- which look awesome. Hotel rating?? I'd give it a 3, value for money, I would give a 5. Will be going back next year and staying there again. A+++++

Room Tip: Garden room- bigger room and a 10 metre walk to poolside.

We loved this little place, particularly as we only had one night in Phnom Penh. We flew in from Bangkok, did a little sight seeing around the place and left our bags here overnight, packed a day pack and flew out to Siem Reap in the evening. On our return to Blue Lime the next eve, our bags were waiting for us, the staff were extremely welcoming and our room was certainly up to scratch for the price!

The hotel itself is so convenient to major sites ...all within walking distance, as were the restaurants. Its set in an alley way, so it's lovely and quite as well and the setting around the pool where you can just hang out, is refreshing.

We'll be back Blue Lime!

I booked for 2 nights in Blue Lime, the first day to Cambodia and the last day of this trip.
The first I booked the cheapest room, because we arrived in Phnom Penh at the midnight and we left in the early next morning, the price is $45, maybe we are late, so we haven't met the noise problem.
Blue Lime has a very beautiful swimming pool, rest or have a meal by the poolside is a very comfortable thing.
The other room I booked is with a private pool, $75, as the public swimming pool is crowded, and I failed in booking the private pool room of Pavilion, so I had to book the guesthouse which Pavilion recommended. The truth is Blue Lime gave me a surprise. After about 10 days, the employee recognized me and sent drinks and fruits. That's very sweet.
Next time when I go to Cambodia, I think Blue Lime is still the first choice in my list.

Room Tip: the room of the city road side may have some noise in the early morning.

We stayed at the Blue Lime in November 2011, and were very impressed. We landed and got a tuk tuk straight there from the airport, and Phnom Penh was a bit of a culture shock to begin with if I'm honest! So, to arrive at the Blue Lime with its air conditioned rooms, helpful staff and lovely pool was a nice surprise! We were given an ice cold fresh fruit drink whilst checking in, then showed to our room. The design is great, quite modern with concrete furniture. Lovely big bed and bathroom. Our room was just off the reception, so probably a little louder than rooms on the upper floor but no big issue. The hotel offers free internet access. The cabana beds surrounding the pool are a great place to relax after a day exploring the fantastic city of Phnom Penh. I was very thankful to the security guard and night manager who came to our rescue, and removed the gigantic spider that was on our ceiling! In they came with a long broom and a smile, to get rid of it while I hastily retreated to reception! We would definitely stay at the Blue Lime again.

Room Tip: If you can, get a room on the upper floors.

This is a good place if you just need a bed for a night. The staff are friendly, and Geraldine the manager is a great asset to the hotel. We received welcome drinks, and a free drinks one afternoon. If you are expecting a chic urban getaway, this, unfortunately isn't it. The rooms are a little bit rough around the edges, but our arrival was also a bit 'interesting', we took a Tuk Tuk from where the bus dropped us off, he stopped at an unlit, waste ground alleyway and told us the hotel was down there, on the left. We were later informed that the secondary entrance had been upgraded, and was much better, but first I impression do sometimes last...

We sat down for breakfast on the first morning to be met by a lot of ants on our placemat. We moved to a different table to find a little bug run across our fresh fruit. We opted for breakfast in our room for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was tasty and ample. Much to the hotels credit, they do mosquito misting to prevent Mosquitos from being in the room.

Throughout our stay, our room was situated next to an intrusive construction site. I say it's intrusive because the noise will wake you in a morning (7:30 start) and the builders could see through our bathroom 'windows' which where glass bricks aligned in the bathroom wall. With no available curtains to cover up this windows and no opaque shower curtain, this was a bit of a pain. I am sure the rooms are much better without the construction going on.

We chose the hotel because of the pool and its surroundings, unfortunately, due to all the greenery there are a lot of bugs and ants, which means it is hardly the relaxing state that we wanted. All of the greenery also means that catching the sun by the pool is impossible due to the natural shade.

On check out morning, the receptionist was asleep on the sofa, however he did wake up. The hotel had booked us a taxi to the airport, and during our transfer the driver received a phone call to say that a glasses case had been left in reception and was it ours. It wasn't but it was a nice thoughtful touch.

The best thing about this hotel, by far, is the people who work there.

I stayed here for one week in October 2012. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms were simple but clean and stylish. There was not always hot water but it was so humid outside I didn't mind. We stayed in room no 2 which opens up onto reception. The double doors blocked out the reception noise. There was some construction going on next door which was a bit noisy during the day. The staff were very apologetic about this and offered to waive our room mini bar tab due to the noise. The pool was clean. The location very central and always a tuk tuk driver nearby. Overall I felt very safe in this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I would not recommend one or two if you want more privacy
