“New rooms with pool or garden - great for honeymooners!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2011

We stayed here in Feb 2010 and again in March this year and were keen to see the new rooms. They are nice rooms and the pool is a bit larger than expected, but for another US$20 p.n. we felt it wasn't worth it, unless you are looking for absolute privacy. We preferred the main pool where you can choose whether you chat with other guests or not. Still a lovely little hotel though and would go back again.

Stayed here with a friend for a couple nights at the start of a trip to Cambodia. We picked it after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The directions printed from the website helped ensure our taxi driver found the hotel with no problem and whilst the very first impression on pulling up was a little off putting the second we walked through the gate any concerns melted away. Our room was a good size and although it sounds a bit unusual the concrete fittings were stylish, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom gorgeous. Breakfast was served in the bar area with a choice from a few options and was very good. The pool area, with possibly the most comfortable sunloungers and daybeds ever, was a wonderful place to cool down after a day of siteseeing.

The location of the hotel was excellent for the Royal Palace and the museum and there were plenty of restaurants nearby for evening meals. We very rarely eat in hotel restaurants as we like to get out and among local people but the food on offere seemed very reasonably priced and looked appetising.

We used the hotel organised tuk-tuk for our trip to the killing fields and the genocide museum. The prices were very competitive and the driver was excellent. Reception orgainsed tickets for our onward journey to Siem Reap with great efficiency and contacted our hotel there to tell them our expected arrival time.

All in all this was a reaaly great place to start our Cambodian adventure and we would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends etc.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday through Cambodia and Vietnam. After a long flight it was like coming home. Friendly staff and great rooms!

stayed at Blue Lime for two nights in April. standard room, $40 per night. great location, and gorgeous pool area with gazebos, comfy cushions and good music playing. it's a five minute walk from the thick of it on sisowath quay so can't go wrong there. rooms are simple and stark, concrete furniture and lots of silk. high ceilings and good air con. great shower and bathroom. I'd definitely stay again, but spoilt for choice in what is now a buzzing trendy city.

The blue lime is a cool property. The rooms are very beautiful - cast concrete, white cotton and bright silk drapes and pillows. The beds are insanely hard/firm. The pool area is a beautiful and lush oasis on any day. The blue lime lobby is beautiful and has computers if you did not bring your own... The hotel entrance is in an alley (shocking to come inside to such beauty and cool and calm from the city chaos and dirty alley).

The issues we found:
We booked a three night stay. We had 2 nights in a standard room and our last night in a room with private pool (as first room type was no longer available). The wifi in our first room did not work on aeny device we had with us. The staff were not very helpful when we wanted to move to a room where the wifi worked. We ultimately moved to a room (1st night, 2nd room) with two beds pushed together. We had to move again the second day and yet agin our third night (schedule move). Our room for the third night was available the entire time but they would not move us to this room earlier.

Staff is nice and pleasant but not bubbly and overly accommodating.

Very sorry for the wi-fi issue, we looked at it and it should be OK now. In addition to the wi-fi, there is a LAN cable in every room.

The month of April has been a very busy month, with all the rooms of the hotel booked almost every night, preventing the change of room difficult...

Cheers,

Alexis (owner)

We stayed here based on Trip Advisor recommendations and were not dissappointed. There is probably nothing new I can say that hasn't already been said. We loved everything about this hotel, the location, the staff, the service, the pool, the room even the Tuk Tuk drivers - great place to stay.

Spent 2 nights here with my partner and father and we all enjoyed the stay. The concrete stylings of the rooms were something different to you standard SEA hotel.

The staff were all very friendly helpful with all our requests including organising a driver for a day to take us around to a few of the major sites.

The most enjoyable part of the stay was coming back after a hot and sticky day of site seeing to cool down with a relaxing swim and cocktail/beer by the pool. Truly an oasis!

For those with concerns about its location up an alley, don't worry. We found it safe and always busy with tuk-tuk drivers and locals.

Highly recommend.
