“staying at this hotel regained my faith in human nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2011

we arrived early evening after a five hour flight from Perth WA were we had left our family behind, so both my husband and i were feeling a little sad. We were met by hotel staff who whisked our bags away wouldnt even allow me to carry my own hand lugage. The staff all had smiley faces and were very welcoming. On fisrt impressions the hotel was very clean and smart. We were shown to our room, we unpacked then went down to the Brasserie for a meal this was amazing good mix of European and Malasian food and again very friendly staff. We had a small problem with the bed on the first night, it smelt damp and stale, the bedding was very clean it was acctualy the mattress. Next morning i pointed this out to staff who were very appologetic they quickly sorted the problem, we were moved to another room were they were not happy until i check all was good. We stayed four days in this wonderfull hotel, i would recommend any one to pay them a vist.
We would also recommend the trips that you can book through the hotel, as we were only there for a short visit we did three trips Brunei splendour, night trip and the Proboscis Monkey trip up the Brunei river to the Mangroves, saw lots of monkeys. Top tip if you like spa treatment the spa at the Radisson is well worth a visit, i had a pedicure lasted 2hours excellent value for money. All in all this was an amazing visit, the Brunei people are the nicest i have ever met. The only down side for Europeans, no wine with your meal this is a totaly alcohol free country, however their crime rate is only 5%.

The hotel is in a great location as you can walk to many tourist attractions as well as onto trails behind the hotel. The river with all its activity, restaurants, stadium, malls, markets are all readily available. The staff are particulalry enjoyable as they are proud of their city and want to share it with you. The staff at the front office and door gave us many good ideas on what to see ; and how to see many of the attractions. The room was comfortable and good quality although the shower in the tub was a bit disappointing as a person had to bend over to get its full effect. The pool is in a courtyard and gets shade in the early afternoon. It also closes at 6:00 as they use the area for dining. A welcome touch is that there is always a drink available in the lobby which is so enjoyable after returning from the outside humidity and heat.

We stayed at the Radisson Brunei in September 2010 and then again three weeks later on our way home.

When we first arrived at the hotel it was 7am, (after a fairly sleepless flight) - expecting to leave our bags and go sightseeing until 3pm when we could check in and have a sleep. Instead they told us that our room was ready and we could go up straight away for no extra charge. This was great and so we were able to have a sleep and feel much better for our sightseeing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. We didn't have a car and were able to walk most places. We got a taxi out to the night markets at Gadong. The hotel picked us up from the airport when we first arrived - it was BD29 which was a bit dearer than a taxi.

We were very happy with our stay here - everyone was really nice and really friendly. We felt very looked after.

Have been in this hotel for a couple of days for business purpose. I have to admit that the level of services is outstanding and I have really appreciated the level of dedication of the personnel.
I would recommend this hotel for any of you who will need to spend few days in BSB not only for business purpose.
Great restaurant, great rooms, great services, great personnel... Perfect!
So, as a conclusion, I would say... "Keep as the level it is!!!"

My wife and I spent only one night in BSB on the way to Sabah (Kota Kinabalu). We arrived before 10:00 AM and there was not problem to do the early check-in. They gave us an upgrade without asking and all the staff were very attentive and smiling.
The hotel's location is privileged and tourist attractions in town can be reached on foot . You can get to the Royal Regalia Museum in 3 minutes only!
The hotel has a free shuttle to the Gadong Shopping Mall. Very convenient.
The breakfast is buffet style and can be considered good. Working free Internet.
Also there is a very good pool.
The room was average size but very decorated with various TV channels in English. The bathroom was small but in excellent conditions..Very good shower.
On the next day we asked to do a late check out and the receptionist said OK without any extra charge. We stayed until 14:30 pm.

We stayed on a one night stopover in Brunei. The Radisson is very central to the city and we walked everywhere. The hotel is very clean and comfortable but seemed to cater to the business traveller. Having said that the staff went out of their way to be helpful with advice and help. We used the gym which was very good and from the wear on the machines & flooring doesn't get a lot of use. Didn't try out the pool area. We included breakfast in our package which was what you'd expect from an buffet breakfast from a chain hotel but included lovely fresh local fruits which was delicious. There is a night market across the road and we ate our dinner there, food was good & there seemed to be only local people eating there.

This is the friendliest hotel I had ever been! The staff are smiling all the time and very helpful. They allowed me to check in at 9am and even upgrade my room for me although I did not ask for it. The room was really spacious although I was hoping that the toilet was too. The breakfast was ok, although for SGD20 I was hoping for a wider spread but the food tasted quite nice. Location wasn't that great as there isn't much to see around but I still love this hotel!
